If you’re looking for a blender that can multitask by making smoothies and processing foods, and don’t mind giving over a little bit of money, you’ll find a friend in the KitchenAid Diamond Blender. Be aware that the motor rating isn’t the highest, though. Take a gander out our best blender list to see how it holds up against the others!

Why We Like It – KitchenAid Diamond Blender

The KitchenAid Diamond Blender is a great blender with interesting features like the Intelli-Speed Motor Control, which allows the blender to sense what’s inside the jar, and the soft start feature, which pulls items into the blades before really going at it and demolishing them to make your smoothies even creamier. For those who want to use a glass jar blender, we’ve compiled this Kitchenaid Blender With Glass Jar review for you!

Pros
  • Sturdy metal base
  • Intelli-Speed Motor Control
  • Soft-Start feature
Cons
  • Not as powerful as most blenders
  • Expensive

Performance

The “crush ice” feature on the KitchenAid Blender isn’t fancy, but you’re just crushing ice, as long as it works fast and well, which it does, you’re good. The diamond blending system ensures that all ingredients blend together well, so it’s easy to make smoothies in the morning to start your day. It’s not as powerful as other blenders, though, so it may not be able to process certain hot foods depending on their consistency. If you want something with more power, try the Oster Versa Pro Blender which has 1200 watts of power.

Design

The KitchenAid Diamond Blender includes a BPA free, 60-ounce diamond pitcher that’s shatter, scratch, and stain resistant and dishwasher safe. The die cast metal base is sturdy and won’t fall apart, and cleaning is easier than most blenders. The blender disassembles into three parts: the pitcher, the main lid, and the inner lid. The blades are inseparable from the pitcher, so cleaning all three pieces is simple. The only other blender that is easy to clean is the NutriBullet NBR-1201. Value

The KitchenAid Speed Diamond Blender comes in a variety of colours, like empire red, which isn’t something you see everyday and a welcome addition. The Intelli Speed Motor Control is an interesting feature as it senses the contents and maintains an optimal speed to power through ingredients. The soft start allows you to pull food into the stainless steel blades slowly and rev-up the motor to destroy them fast. It’s a little on the expensive side though, so consider the Ninja BL610 Professional Blender if you’re on a budget.

KitchenAid Diamond Blender Wrap Up

The KitchenAid Diamond Blender includes some nifty and original features that probably help in justifying its larger price-tag. The 600-watt motor leaves something to be desired, but if you’re using it to make smoothies, or process non-heavy foodstuffs, the KitchenAid Diamond Blender should more than suffice for your blending needs.
