Blending your favourite smoothie gets a lot more fun with the Oster Vera Blender, but only if you don’t mind switching between its different pieces every now and then. This high performance blender has been compared to the $500 Vitamix severally, and referred to as a much cheaper alternative that still gets the job done. It has a 6-point stainless steel blade that can spin at more than 28,000 RPM making it capable of handling green smoothies that might involve blending kale and spinach for example. If this sounds like something that you might like, then maybe the Oster Versa blender could be the best blender for you. If you’re not sure, don’t worry – you will be by the end of this blender review.

Why We Like It – Oster Versa Pro

The Oster Versa Pro takes blending to another level without too much hurt to your wallet. This high speed performance blender is quite powerful at 1400 watts, and has a very fast blade speed that hits 250MPH.

Performance

The powerful 1400 watt motor that you’ll find at the base of the Oster Versa Pro is what gets your solids mashed into a fine blend, and its variable speed dial gives you control over how well you want to get your food crushed. Just below it you get 4 buttons (not backlit like those of the Blendtec Designer 725 Blender), 3 of which are programmed to blend smoothies, soups and dips/spreads. The fourth one is a pulse button which only activates the blender when pressed. The Versa pro also includes a 5-cup food processor, which allows it to slice and dice vegetables.

Design

The team at Oster Versa decided that the blender coming alone wouldn’t be justice to its customers, so they decided to include a 64 ounce jar, two 20 ounce cups, and a 5 cup food processor bowl as well as a few different blades. While some people may complain that this is just too much to sort out, others see this as a great value-ad. No matter what you think, the Versa pro is still a great looking blender. It also looks much better than the Vitamix 7500 blender courtesy of its red and black accents.

Value

Something else you’ll get to appreciate about the Oster Versa Pro blender is how quiet it is when it’s working. It’s not the most silent blender in the market, but it’s pretty impressive for its price. Just like the Commercial Blender by Cleanblend, the Versa Pro also comes with a jar sensor which lets you know whether or not the pitcher is well set on the base. It also has an all metal drive (connection between the jar & base) making it much more durable. If that’s not enough, you also get a recipe book to learn how to cook some new meals, and a 7 year warranty cover as a stamp of quality from the brand.

Oster Versa Pro Wrap Up

If you don’t have the budget for a top tier high performance blender, then please try the Oster Versa Pro. You’ll get just as much value if not more, and end up saving a lot of your money.
