The Dell U2520D is the latest of the Ultrasharp family line, and among the best computer monitors alongside its other sibling, the Dell Ultrasharp 24 Wireless Monitor. Does it improve on its shortcomings? Or does it fall prey to old habits? Spoiler alert: it exceeds the Ultrasharp 24. Performance
Unlike the Dell Ultrasharp 24 Wireless Monitor, the Dell U2520D has had a boost to its color coverage, going from competent, to actually being useful in an editing environment. It now covers 99% of the sRGB color space. That’s in addition to being VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, bringing to life colors and contrast. The Ultrasharp 24 doesn’t even have HDR. The Ultrasharp 25 also beats the 24 in resolution. While not 4K, the Dell U2520D is now sporting a 1440p QHD resolution, a nice bump up from 1080p.

Design
The Dell U2520D didn’t change much from the Ultrasharp 24, but fitted with more ports. Now it has 3x USB Type-A ports, audio out jack, a USB C port (a single USB C cable can provide power consumption and data delivery) with another USB C downstream port, and 2x DisplayPort connectors. For office work or designing, this is a godsend because the one Displayport is actually an out connection, allowing you to daisy chain a second monitor for a multi-monitor setup. And since it can tilt, pivot, swivel, and adjust height, you can put together some interesting combinations.

Value
The Dell Ultrasharp 24 Wireless Monitor felt like it was built without a clear purpose, other than being added to the long list of Dell monitors. Given its color game, accuracy, depth, and overall solid build, the Dell U2520D now does exceptionally well in an editing room where you’re dealing with color-critical tasks. This is especially true considering how easy it is to set up a second monitor. Is it expensive? Not horrendously. It’s actually $50 more than the Ultrasharp 24, making it way better priced.

The Dell U2520D is the kind of color-accurate Dell display you want in your office when making edits to photography or art. It has the depth and range of color gamut to make that happen, with DisplayHDR 400 backing it up. Not to mention its generous number of ports and ergonomic design that make it simple to put together multi-display setups.
