SPT Wall Mounted Fans and very lightweight fans considering how big they are. At eight pounds, they’re one of the lightest fans we’ve seen. This helps offset the fact that there is some light assembly to be done with the fan when you get it. Read our review to find out about this top-rated fan.

Performance/Power

Similar to the TPI Corporation Single fan, SPT Wall Mount Fans contain three-speed settings for better control of airflow power. Not only that, but the fan also contains three modes: Normal, Neutral, and Sleep. These modes let you change how the air is delivered. For example, sleep might give you small bursts of air at regular intervals, while normal is just a steady stream of constant air. Durability/Build

The SPT SF-16W81 Wall Fan is large, boasting three 16” fan blades. Despite this, the fan is much lighter than you would expect it to be. Weighing only eight pounds, it’s easy to transport from room to room or, if you need, wall to wall. The fan also has adjustable height oscillation, allowing it to move left, right, up, down, and in a horizontal-8 pattern. If you’d like a fan that’s a little bit bigger and more powerful, try the Maxxair HVWM 18 UPS.

Noise/Sound Level

The SPT SF-16W81 Oscillating Wall Mount Fan doesn’t offer any measurements on dB levels, or even a mention of quietness, so we must rely on customer reviews. The fan makes an appropriate amount of noise for a fan of its nice, so that’s good to hear. It does, however, tend to rattle because of its large size and must be placed very securely or else you’ll be hearing this extra noise too. You might be able to reduce the noise if you know how to circulate air with fans correctly.

Versatility/Modern Features

The new brand SPT Ceiling Fan comes with a remote control so you can adjust the settings on the fan without needing to be right next to the fan. Still, it has push-button controls if you don’t mind using those as well. Another handy feature is the timer-off function which allows you to set predetermined times of how long the fan will stay long. No more forgetting to turn it off and racking up an energy bill!

Value

The SPT SF-16W81 Indoor Outdoor Fan comes with a manufacturer warranty of one year with parts and labor. Unfortunately, assembly is required. It doesn’t amount to much, mainly just putting the grill in front of the blades, but it would have been nice if this step was already done. Consider the Hurricane HGC736503 if you really don’t like the idea of having to assemble the fan.

SPT SF-16W81 Wrap Up

The SPT SF-16W81 is another fan with no stated dB levels, but a quick search of customer reviews should help to clear any worries you have. The Normal, Neutral, and Sleep modes are a nice touch and give the fan an air of modernity. The Time-Off function is great if you’re the type who forgets to turn things off or just enjoys having one less thing to worry about!
