Performance
What’s impressive is the Dyson Air Multiplier AM06 manages to produce so much powerful cool airflow while being 75% quieter than before, even on the highest setting, unlike the incredibly loud Vornado 660 Large Whole Room Air Circulator Fan. Compared to the AM01, a previous version, it still produces powerful suction, without fail, and with less energy. It’s a big step up from the Cosmo 5MU30 fan.
Sadly, it does not have any kind of certification for allergies, asthma, or HEPA purifier; those are separate products. If you dust frequently and use alternative cleaning products, this isn’t a big deal.

Design
The Dyson Cool AM06 has such a unique design compared to desk fans and tall fans like the Honeywell QuietSet or Lasko T42950. Rather than have spinning blades that can be dangerous for little fingers, Dyson technology sucks air in and osculates it, which then leaves the room. The fan comes in two colors: black nickel and white silver. The remote control can alter airflow, sleep timer, and power, and when not in use, the fan has a magnetized surface to hold the remote. More importantly, the Dyson Air Multiplier AM06 is really easy to clean. Since it has no blades, dust rarely collects.
Value
During our Dyson AM06 review, we realized the AM06 is an incredibly unique fan. It comes with small features that we’d never think to use on a fan. For example, you’ll never lose the remote because the surface of the AM06 is magnetized as is the remote; place the remote on the surface and it sticks. Its performance is some of the best we’ve seen and the design excluding blades means it’s safe to have around your children—even in their room! It’s a bit pricey at $272, but worth every single penny.

The Dyson Air Multiplier AM06 does little wrong. Its powerful airflow technology blows cool air without the need for blades. It isn’t a HEPA purifier or allergy/asthma friendly, but due to it being easy to clean and rarely collecting dust, that wasn’t a big issue. It’s quiet, uses 30% less energy, and is safe around kids. That’s more than you could want from a fan.
