Performance
What tipped us off the most with the Honeywell QuietSet’s performance was the fan speed. There are 8-speed settings to choose from for a whole host of cooling options, from a“Sleep” setting to a “Power Cool” setting. More importantly, its name wasn’t a joke either. These fans are really quiet, making them great fans for keeping you cool at night while you’re asleep. This is a huge difference when compared to the AmazonBasics Oscillating Dual Blade Standing Pedestal Fan, which had very few options—3-speed settings—and could be noisy on the highest setting.
Design
As mentioned before, the Honeywell Quietset Tower Fan is, well, a Honeywell tower fan. It’s tall rather than short and wide like the Vornado 660 Large Whole Room Air Circulator Fan. It’s nothing like the Hon Guan 6″ exhaust fan. The control panel is straightforward. There’s a visualization of the sound and speed setting you’re on, which can be helpful. You don’t have to get up to change settings; it can be done via remote control bundled inside. Lastly, the fan oscillates, moving back and forth in a wide arc to blow air, unlike the Vornado 660 which only blows in one direction, though it can be moved.
Value
Considering our tower fan review, is it worth the Honeywell Quiet Set worth it? Definitely. You get all kinds of cooling and sound options, which can be quite frustrating when you’re trying to have a conversation, but the fan next to you is too loud. And you get all that for $64? Sign us up! Furthermore, the tower fan has automatic shutdown options, providing an opportunity to save yourself some money on your electric bill. If we had to choose the QuietSet or Lasko T42950, we’d go with the QuietSet for its additional options at the same price.

If the Honeywell QuietSet is placed in a safe location, you never have to worry about its plastic exterior or tipping it over.
