Why We Like It – Hon Guan 6 Inches Exhaust Fan
The Hon&Guan 6 Inches Exhaust Fan is probably the only exhaust fan at this price that comes with acceptable noise levels. And its performance, build quality, and features are all fantastic. It is a good buy for any room.

Performance/Power
The motor in this fan is incredible, just like the HJIAN 5. Not only is it extremely efficient (consumes just 25w), it is very powerful too. The seven-bladed fan also works in tandem with the motor amazingly and can generate up to 170 CFM air flow (56Pa air pressure). Forget small rooms; this thing is suitable for big bedrooms too, like the Genesis A1.
Durability/Build
Some might just put the thought of buying this fan to rest after hearing that it’s made out of ABS plastic entirely (just not the motor itself). But it’s made out of really premium quality matte finish white plastic. It might get a bit dirty over time, but it’s reliably built overall. Still, if you need the overall sense of security that you get with metal, go for the Broan-Nutone 512M.
Noise/Sound Level
This section is pretty much about the key feature of this fan, its extremely low noise level. Remember when we said that you could install it in your bedroom too? Just like the Honeywell QuietSet, it’s so quiet that you won’t even have any trouble sleeping next to it while it’s running. And that is quite incredible for a cheap ventilation fan. The noise level never breaks the 40 decibels barrier, just like the Bionaire window fan.
Versatility/Modern Features
This is where the Hon&Guan 6 Inches Exhaust Fan starts to lose out a bit. It only has a power cord with a two-pronged wall plug, and no internal wiring support. And the installation process is pretty complicated on top of that. But there are some nice add-ons, such as the Back Draft Shutter for preventing insects from getting in (mainly mosquitos), IP34 rating making the fan water, dust, and moisture-proof, to make up for that. If you don’t care about any of that, the iLiving 10-Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan is also a great buy.
