The Miele Compact C2 Electro+ crosses into several territories in its quest to be the best canister vacuum. Its parquet brush head opens up hard flooring cleaning, a must-have for the best vacuum for tile floors. And its Air Clean HEPA filter traps dust and debris inside so you aren’t breathing it again after the fact, a sign you have the best bagged vacuum, too. Why We Like It – Miele Compact C2 Electro+

Say goodbye to breathing in dirt, dust, and debris with the Miele Compact C2 Electro+, featuring a multi-filter system and sealed construction. Consecutive uses quickly improves your air quality.

Pros
  • Good suction power w/ suction control
  • Sealed system design traps dust & debris
  • Bundles w/ bags & filter value pack
Cons
  • Relies on vacuum bags

Power

When not being used on tiles and hard flooring, the Miele Electro Plus’ carpet floor tool is electrically driven, has an extra-wide cleaning path, and is adjustable to tackle both low-pile and medium-pile carpets. The MVP here, however, is its maximum suction power, controlled via suction control. You’ll always have the power you need, which is what we’d expect from the best vacuum for carpet.

Speed & Efficiency

Marine blue and tough, Miele Compact C2 Electro Canister Vacuums come with quality-of-life features. For starters, Miele vacuums have retractable cords—say goodbye to rolling power cords yourself. More importantly, its durability is a sealed system. It’s a combination of the vacuum bag’s integrity, Super Air Clean filter, and construction, any debris going in will have one tough time getting out, so you’ll always breathe cleaner air than before.

Bin Capacity & Maintenance

The biggest benefit of having bags is greatly reduced maintenance. All you have to do is remove the bag and drop it in the trash. Each bag holds 3.69 quarts, which is nearly a gallon of debris.

Durability

The Miele Compact C2 Electro+ is mostly plastic-made—hard plastic, but plastic all the same, as are the tools. This does cheapen it a little, but ultimately adds to its lightweight design and longevity.

Value

Like its successor—the Miele Complete C3 Marin—Miele canister vacuum cleaners suffer from one issue: vacuum bags. Performance isn’t the issue, but over time buying vacuum bags every now and then will add up. To make up for it, the Miele Compact C2 Electro+ does have a value pack option, packaged with 50 filter bags, a replacement HEPA filter, and 4 pre-motor protection filters. Without it, the price drops down to $699.

Miele Compact C2 Electro+ Wrap Up

Aside from the reliance on vacuum bags, the Miele Compact C2 Electro+ is a great companion to have; a value pack softens the blow. Its ability to trap in dirt, dust, and debris means your air quality will only improve. On top of that, its suction control is great to have for switching between carpet and hard flooring.
