You wouldn’t expect such an affordable vacuum to have great suction power but the Eureka Canister Vacuum does, and why it’s the best vacuum for laminate floors. This makes it the ideal choice on a budget. At the same time, it’s incredibly lightweight—just 8 lbs—which is great for elderly individuals to wield. Why We Like It – Eureka Canister Vacuum

Lightweight, easy to wield, and affordable are the three cornerstones of the Eureka Canister Vacuum, an ideal choice for budget and convenience.

Pros
  • Great suction for price
  • Weighs just 8 lbs
  • Washable components
Cons
  • Dust bin holds 2 liters; average, at best

Power

The kind of suction power the Eureka Canister Vacuum is wielding isn’t to be taken lightly. Going over a carpet, for example, can and will lift it off the floor. That’s comparable power to Dyson V8 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaners, ripping pet hair and dirt out of carpets easily. You can also compare it to the Koblenz vacuum or the Costway multipurpose cleaner, which offers similar power. Our reviews have more.

Speed & Efficiency

Judging by the power of the Eureka Canister Vacuum, there’s very few instances where you’ll go over a spot again. It’s simply that powerful that you’ll get what you’re after in one go, making it incredibly efficient at floor care, whether it’s bare floors or carpet.

Although this cleaning device is great, it’s not the only option. In fact, Eureka’s other models, the Eureka PowerSpeed Lite and the Eureka easy clean 71b, also have excellent cleaning efficiency.

Bin Capacity & Maintenance

Handling up to 2 liters of debris in its dust cup isn’t outside the realm of possibility; in fact, that’s the average capacity for smaller vacuums like this one, and just slightly under the Shark Navigator Lift-Away. It’s also a bagless canister vacuum—unlike the Eureka Mighty Mite Canister Vacuums—which adds a small amount of maintenance to it, but otherwise fantastic!

Durability

We didn’t expect anything less than cheap plastic for the construction of Eureka Canister Upright Vacuums. You have to make cuts somewhere, right? It isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but does explain its low price. On the bright side, the plastic is hardy and will always vacuum floors so long as you take care of it.

Value

There’s very few, strained reasons not to pick up third-party corded canister vacuum cleaners like the Eureka Canister Vacuum, over something like the Kenmore Elite Vacuum. You get a crevice tool, plus washable components. And with an 8 lbs. body, they’re the best vacuums for the elderly. Body. You’ll have a hard time finding something better for that price.

Eureka Canister Vacuum Wrap Up

Challenging the status quo, the Eureka Canister Vacuum provides that high-end suction for a low, affordable cost. And it only weighs 8 lbs! On top of that, it’s bagless, so you’ll never have to buy vacuum bags, saving you more money. A dustbin of 2 liters is average, but still admirable.
