Performance
For a compact scanner, the DS-720D offers excellent color page scanning and great performance. It can easily scan one side of a page at 8 PPM, or scan both sides at 5 PPM. When it comes to resolution, the standard is 600 x 600 dpi, but it can go up to 1200 x 1200 dpi interpolated. Despite only feeding a single sheet at a time it can still do multi-page scans as long as you feed the next sheet within a certain timeframe. Design
The design of this scanner is compact and lightweight like the Doxie Go SE. It weighs less than a pound and is only 11.5-inches long. In terms of looks, it’s very plain and comes in the usual beige color. Functionality is completely different. It can scan documents and also has a slot for business cards and credit cards. There’s also no need for a regular power adapter as it draws its power through a USB connection. The included software helps with functionality and to organize your files so you’re not looking for that receipt from a year ago.

This scanner has a lot of brilliant features. It’s lightweight and compact and can go anywhere with you. It also forgoes a power adapter in favor of a more practical USB solution. The scan quality is also very accurate and it can scan at a decent speed whether in single-sided or double-sided mode. The DS-720D also comes with lots of great software that allows you to organize your files and to scan to different locations. Brother scanners are known for their quality, and the DS-720D continues the tradition. It’s small enough to go anywhere, and still provide great scan quality. This scanner also allows duplex scanning and allows you to save to multiple locations easily. It doesn’t have Wi-Fi capability, but you still get terrific performance from the USB cable.
