With a hyper-secure VPN, like NordVPN, it’s incredibly easy to gain peace of mind that your private information is going to be exactly that: private. The features Surfshark offers include a hyper-active, kill-switch and the ability to use a double VPN to make extra-sure nobody is tracking your movements. The great customer service is a nice feature too. Add to this that a subscription allows use on unlimited devices, which makes it a fine VPN for multiple devices, so it is easy to name Surshark the best VPN.

Why We Like It – Surfshark

Surfshark VPN is an incredible VPN provider with the ability to bypass almost any streaming services in the United States like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, though it’s unsure if it this VPN can be installed on a Firestick. It can also get into BBC iPlayer with ease. Getting into these streaming services is very impressive, and is more than what a lot of other VPN services can say.

Pros
  • Ability to use double VPN
  • Doesn’t collect incoming or outgoing IP addresses
  • Speedy Chat Support
Cons
  • kill switch is a little on the extreme side
  • Scant privacy policy

Performance

Surshark can get into BBC iPlayer with ease and can access streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video too. Some VPN providers can’t access those streaming services like BBC iPlayer, so using Surfshark would be a step up if the VPN included it in the cost. Surfshark also offers the ability to use a double VPN hop makes your movements secure and secure VPN protocols like the kill switch will block internet access. The kill switch may be a bit extreme for some as it disables internet connection totally unless connected to Surshark. Private Internet Access is an alternative for a kill switch that is great by not so extreme.

Finally, speed tests returned fantastic results in the United States. Overall, you can use Surfshark to achieve full private Internet access by establishing a VPN connection with their secure VPN servers that assign you new IP addresses.

Design

The FAQ page on the Surfshark website explains that the company doesn’t collect incoming and outgoing IP Addresses. The logging page explains that it doesn’t collect info up to and including what VPN server you’re using. Both of these bring incredible peace of mind that your data is safe and give confidence that Surfshark is a secure VPN provider. The support site also offers tutorials on how to get your VPN connection set up. If this is your first time and you’re still confused, VyprVPN makes setting up a VPN simple.

Value

Surfshark offers a 7-day free trial VPN service for Android, iOS, and Mac which is especially nice considering most VPN providers offer none. On top of this, they also have a 30-day money-back guarantee. They also offer speedy and helpful live chat customer support. Having VPN servers in 64 countries is good, but if your country isn’t supported it’s worth giving ExpressVPN a look. They offer more geographic diversity and are set up in 87 countries. ExpressVPN is a bit more inclusive with more server locations in over 20 extra countries, though research into which provider may be best for you.

However, Surfshark is still impressive with having a diverse range of servers that can establish Internet connections in an already large list of countries outside of the United States. Lastly, Surfshark is based in the British Virgin Islands, and laws there dictate that they are not required to keep logs on internet activity. Surfshark Wrap Up

It’s because Surfshark is based in the British Virgin Islands that they can offer so much extra protection via not collecting a shred of information from you. But hey, that’s completely okay with us. We did mention before that the kill switch Surfshark offers is a bit much, so give the 7-day free trial a go to see how you like it. If any concerns come up, you can always consult their live chat customer support.

Though Surfshark also offers a privacy policy, we wish it was more fleshed out. If an extreme kill-switch and a little scant, but still understandable privacy policy are the only drawbacks to using Surfshark, you will be more than pleased with the VPN service once you sign up. Due to its many positive features, Surfshark would be a great VPN service to try out and see if you like using it.

While we touch a bit on the customer service and money-back guarantee refund policy in this Surfshark VPN review, you can look further into specific VPN services, pricing plans per month, and the privacy policy and the British Virgin Islands information on Surfshark’s website.
