If you’re someone who has trouble with their back, you already have a reason to view the Powr-Flite BP6S as the best backpack vacuum cleaner. Yes, it has plenty of cleaning power, but the harness is designed to alleviate strain on your back and direct it to your hips for a much more comfortable fit. If you’d like more vacuum recommendations, give this best vacuum cleaner list a read.

Why We Like It – Powr-Flite BP6S

Featuring a 5-stage HEPA filtration system and comfortable design, the Powr-Flite BP6S Comfort Pro Backpacks are the perfect blend of performance and comfortability.

Pros
  • 5-stage HEPA filtration
  • Harness is designed to reduce strain on back
  • Can also provide “above floor” cleaning
Cons
  • Shape might be awkward for some
  • A bit on the louder side

Power

Having 130 CFM is on par with even the best of backpack vacuums, like the Makita backpack vacuum. The Powr-Flite operates with 120V, outputting 1100 watts of power, all traveling through a 50-ft power cord. Despite its power on carpets, it can also use that power on hard flooring and above-ground cleaning, like ceilings.

Speed & Efficiency

Since the Powr-Flite BP6S Standard Comfort Pro has 130 CFM, it means you can cover 130 cubic feet per minute, an ideal rating for small businesses. Efficiency can be seen by its 5-stage HEPA filtration system, where 4 levels capture small particles, with a fifth HEPA filter capturing stranglers. At the end of the day, you have improved indoor air quality.

Bin Capacity & Maintenance

Like many backpack vacuums, the Powr-Flite BP6S uses vacuum bags to capture dirt and pollutants. Each bag is capable of handling 1.5 gallons of dust and whatnot, which is the same as the ProTeam ProVac FS6. That does reduce the overall time spent on maintaining the vacuum, for a small price.

Durability

The Powr-Flite BP6S certainly has superior comfort. The harness itself has good padding. More importantly, the harness is designed to shift the weight of the backpack vacuum (12 lbs) to your hips, with tools fit conveniently at your sides. This provides more mobility and less strain. However, the vacuum is a bit tall, so shorter individuals might have trouble from time to time. The Koblenz Vacuum is easier to handle.

Value

The biggest value you’ll get out of the Powr-Flite BP6S isn’t just its performance, but also its design. Suffering from back pain is no walk in the park, so having the ability to continue doing your job without straining it hard, people will give a lot to have that. Thankfully, the BP6S doesn’t ask for much being priced at $326. An equally comfortable vacuum, albeit smaller, is the Hoover Commercial C2401for just $211.

Powr-Flite BP6S Wrap Up

Only really short individuals will experience the bottom of the vacuum bumping into them now and again, but it soon becomes something you ignore. It isn’t a big enough reason to ignore the fact of the matter: the Powr-Flite BP6S is packing a comfortable design and great power. Can you argue with its 5-stage filtration system and 130 CFM? Few can.
