Norpro’s avocado slicer is 7 inches of durable stainless steel. This product makes 12 slices (one more than the Amco 2-in-1 Avocado Slicer!), thanks to its ten fanned blades. Unfortunately, since the blades are so close together the manufacturer recommends hand washing the tool, rather than using a dishwasher, but that’s a small price to pay for efficiency. It is important to note that this tool only slices the fruit – it won’t split open the skin and it cant be used to remove the pit from an avocado.

This tool is made of seven inches of high-quality stainless steel. That, combined with the fact that it provides more slices per use than similar products, is the reasoning behind the $12.50 price tag. Still, the price seems high for a product that can only slice avocados.
