Why We Like It – Modway Veer Drafting Chair

As stated by the manufacturer, the Modway Veer Drafting Chair provides functional comfort that’ll allow you to remain productive as you work, and also lean back and relax to take a break when you need to.

Pros
  • Padded armrests
  • 300 pound weight limit
  • Pneumatic gas lift for easy adjustments
Cons
  • No comprehensive warranty

Support

The padded armrests and ergonomically designed backrest all work together to give anyone whose sitting on the Modway Veer drafting chair some form of back support, and this is really similar to what you’ll get with the Flash Furniture Mid Back mesh seat. There’s no adjustable lumbar support, but the chair can tilt back when you want it to, and it also does have a backrest that’s designed in a manner that’s very similar to the S curvature of your spine.

Comfort

Comfort-wise, the Modway breathable mesh chair doesn’t do too bad, since by just having a mesh back, it does a lot better than the Seville Classics Airlift 360 Sit-Stand Adjustable Ergonomic Active Balance Non-Slip Desk Stool. The seat cushion on this chair has a waterfall seat edge to reduce the pressure from the back of your legs, though it doesn’t come with a headrest to relax your head on.

Adjustability

The one touch pneumatic adjustment lever on this Veer drafting chair makes it a little easier to adjust the seat height compared to how you’d do it on the Learniture Adjustable-Height Active Learning Stool. The chair can be raised to a maximum height of about 29.5 inches, and this is thanks to the extra tall gas cylinder. It’s lever doesn’t need too much force to pull up or down, and it’s also right next to the chair’s tilt tension adjustment knob.

Breathability

The Veer drafting stool keeps you cool and comfortable as you carry on with your school work or office work thanks to a breathable mesh back that allows for continuous airflow. The generously padded mesh seat also doesn’t get warmed up as fast as a leather chair would for example, and this is important because you’ll get to stay seated for longer stretches of time, and therefore get more work done.

Value

Keeping your back straight, your posture perfect, and your feet well rested are essentially the main perks that you’ll get out of this drafting stool veer. It’s tall gas cylinder will afford you a height range of about 10 inches, and with a weight capacity of up to 300 pounds, you’d have to be extraordinarily large for this chair to not be able to accommodate you.
