The Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair is a budget drafting chair that aims to bring ergonomic design and premium features to a budget price point; it features a foot ring, adjustable armrests, and curved lumbar support all in a $79.99 package. It holds up surprisingly well against even pricier competition, beating out some options such as the Boss Office Products Ergonomic Works Drafting Chair; for the money, it’s one of the best drafting chairs on the market. But, is it the best office chair? Read on to find out.

Why We Like It – Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair

With its wide height adjustment range, adjustable footrest ring, and breathable mesh back, the Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair is a very strong contender in the budget sector. It packs a lot of features you’d expect on much pricier office chairs, all while undercutting many other solid budget options.

Pros
  • Very affordable
  • Mesh back
  • High adjustability for price
Cons
  • Seat leans forward

Support

Support is solid for the price. The chair’s back is shaped to provide lumbar support, and it features both armrests and a footrest, both of which can further be adjusted. For the price, there’s not much else to ask for from it; neck support is uncommon until you’re at much higher price points, and it checks every other major box.

Comfort

Thanks to its padded fabric seat and decent ergonomics, the Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair provides a comfortable sitting experience even across extended periods of time. Some users might find the shape of the back a bit uncomfortable, but the shape serves a functional purpose in forcing proper posture. All in all, it’s a comfortable chair that’s very comparable to the much pricier Modway Veer Drafting Chair.

Adjustability

Despite its low price point, the Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair doesn’t skimp on adjustability in most regards. It’s suitable for both standing and sitting desks thanks to its decent range of height adjustment, and it features both adjustable armrests and an adjustable footrest. The only problem is in its seat tilt; it’s locked slightly forward, and you have to mount the seat in a non-stock configuration to get it to tilt backwards, which isn’t ideal.

Breathability

Breathability is decent but not perfect; a mesh back is always welcome and automatically places it above much of its competition, but it employs a fabric seat which isn’t ideal at all for warmer rooms. In that regard, it’s worse than the Flash Furniture Mid-Back Black Mesh Ergonomic Drafting Chair, which employs both a mesh back and a mesh seat at a similar price point; it runs around $118.

Value

Value is the Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair’s strongest point. It offers features you’d expect on much pricier products at a very low price point, making it a very attractive budget option. You can get better options by paying more, obviously, but very little competes with it at its ~$80 price point, and you don’t see a significant quality increase by jumping into the $100-150 range. When purchased from Amazon, it also benefits from free delivery, meaning its low price is all you have to pay, tax aside.

Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair Wrap-up

The Devoko Drafting Chair Tall Office Chair is a strong budget offering that checks a lot of boxes many other budget chairs lack. It’s not the best chair on the market, but it isn’t trying to be; it’s a $80 chair that offers features you’d expect to find on chairs twice the price. If you’re on a budget, this is definitely a chair you should have on your radar.
