For the best Chromebook for business, you should highly consider picking up the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5; it’s well-equipped to handle your needs, like a fast 10th Gen Intel Core i3 and modern Wi-Fi capabilities. And since it lasts for 10 hours, in the right hands it could be the best Chromebook for kids. For more quality chromebooks, check out our guide to the best chromebook.

Why We Like It – Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5

Business laptops need snappy response, and the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 flexes hard with its 10th Gen Intel Core i3. There’s even futureproofing involved using Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Pros
  • 10th Gen Intel Core i3 processor
  • Fast Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.0
  • 10-hour battery life
Cons
  • Very few ports

Display Type & Resolution

Housed inside it’s hard plastic chassis is a beautiful 1080p, full HD touchscreen, which pairs rather nicely with any Android apps you decide to install. Its display measures 13 inches, a comfortable screen size for a 2-in-1 design. And it’s an IPS panel, so viewing angles are wide. You might also want to take a look at the Lenovo Chromebook Duet which also features great visual performance.

Battery Life

The Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 comes in hot with its 10-hour battery life. Of course, your mileage may vary, but if you alter a few details on the backend and brightness, you’ll consistently hit that 10-hour mark every single time. However, the HP Chromebook X360 14 offers an extra 4 hours.

Weight & Durability

If you were wondering why the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 was so cheap, part of the reason is its plastic chassis. It’s noticeably weaker in durability than the Asus Chromebook Flip C434, but still healthy in its own right. You’ll hardly see it budge. Its plastic body does keep it lightweight; it weighs just under 3 lbs. In this regard, it’s quite similar to the Lenovo Chromebook S330, though they have quite a few differences.

Inputs

A slim number of inputs is the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5’s greatest weakness, though not terribly so. For starters, it has USB C on both sides, which is fantastic. You’ll get to charge on either side. These are accompanied by one USB A, microSD, and an audio jack. Unfortunately, that’s it. On the bright side, you get Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for some of the best wireless connection options.

Value

Everything the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 has to offer is done so with high quality, from performance to design. Sure, it’s lacking in a few areas, but is otherwise negligible. When you compare it to a Google Pixelbook Go, which is inferior in performance, you’re getting an excellent deal—and saving yourself almost $450.

Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 Wrap Up

The Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 is a fantastic option for those on a budget, but still need a snappy, responsive 2-in-1 business laptop. Of course, it’s also a great option for kids, too. Both parties can easily take advantage of the 10th Gen Intel CPU and 10-hour battery, along with Wi-Fi 6 for faster data transfer.
