The JJRC H37 drone is most definitely not one of the best drones available out there; you shouldn’t even expect that at this price. However, this quadcopter most definitely is one of the top contenders for the best selfie drone spot below $30 bucks.

Why We Like It – JJRC H37

Very few pocket selfie drones below 30 bucks come with a camera. The camera on the JJRC H37 Elfie Foldable drone might not be very good, but at least it comes with one. And besides the build quality, it comes with a lot of flight maneuver modes (e.g., headless mode) that professional drone users will be happy with.

Pros
  • Headless mode
  • 8 minutes of flight time
  • Six-axis gyro with gyro calibration
Cons
  • Bad build quality

Speed & Power

Unlike the Hubsan X4 H107L, this JJRC H37 Wi-Fi FPV drone comes with three different speed modes, low, medium, and high. It’s not going to reach the DJI Spark Remote Controlled Drones level of speed. But it’s not bad for the price. And things like 3D flips, 360° rotation, and rolls make the drone go up in value by a lot. Speaking of speed, you’ll want to check out our review of the Propel Star Wars Drone, which is super fast and fun to use.

Range

You have to use your mobile for remote control, and phone controls are usable for the most part. But be very careful with the app that you have to install for phone control. There’s a reason it’s not available in any official app store. Don’t give it any permission/access that is not necessary for this app to function. The 150 feet of range might sound pretty good on paper, but once it goes out of range, you won’t even be able to see it, and it will keep flying straight until the battery dies. If you don’t want to deal with these issues, you need to try the ZeroTech DOBBY Drone or the Parrot Disco FPV.

Durability

The build quality is just as bad as you might’ve expected. It’s entirely made out of cheap plastic, but once again, at only 20 bucks, premium build quality is not something you can expect from a WiFi FPV drone. Take a look at our JJRC H37 Pocket Drone review for a much lighter and compact drone.

Camera Features

The camera inside the JJRC H37 Elfie Foldable Pocket Selfie Drone is also not that great. It’s a very low resolution 0.3 MP sensor that will rarely take high-quality photos and videos under low light conditions. If you need a better camera, go for the SNAPTAIN S5C quadcopter instead.

Value

So, looking at everything above, you might be thinking that the JJRC H37 Elfie Foldable WiFi FPV drone is something you should avoid. But you’d be losing out on a tremendous deal if you do that. It offers more than double the flight time compared to everything else at this price. And the headless mode is a massive boon for advanced users. Not to mention the spare parts and the carrying pouch it comes with. Overall, it’s an excellent little pocket selfie drone that is packed with different features.

JJRC H37 Wrap Up

Needless to say, the JJRC H37 Elfie Foldable pocket selfie drone’s price tag is unmatched by its competitors. And with free shipping, you can get yourself a neat little deal with this thing.
