The Holy Stone Drone and the Holy Stone HS120D possess a light and easily transportable design which is something you’d look for if you were searching for the best foldable drone. Its many useful flight modes, especially the return to home function. Transportability, like the JJRC H37 pocket drone, is also something you’d be looking for when researching the best drone for traveling. If any of these are on your list, you’d do well to review Holy Stone HS720 Drones.

Why We Like It – Holy Stone HS720

The Holy Stone HS720 Drone possesses some of the greatest speed specs we’ve seen for a mid-level drone which makes it rival even more high-end drones. The flight time is even more impressive, soundly beating or equalling drones that are more high-end than this one.

Pros
  • Number of Useful Flight Modes
  • 900 Meter Control Range
  • Well-Designed Remote Control
Cons
  • Battery Charges Slowly
  • 2K Camera
  • Ophelia App Takes Up A Lot of Memory

Speed/Power

Similar to the Hubsan H301S Spy Hawk, the HS720 Foldable GPS Drone is one of the best drones for speed. Coming in at 44 miles per hour it rivals some high-quality DJI Mavic drones. Check out the DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone Review if you’re interested. The HS720 also comes with a healthy amount of intelligent flight modes like one key return home and follow me, as well as the standard headless mode.

Range

Like the Contixo F24 drone, the HS720 GPS Assisted Drone can stay in the air for a long time. With a 26-minute long flight time, you should be able to get a lot of fun out of the drone. On the downside, charging the battery takes several hours. If you want something with a little more juice, check out the Autel EVO Drone. The control range of the HS720 is just above 900 meters which is more than enough considering most local laws prohibit you from being more than 200 meters away from your drone.

Durability

The build quality of the HS720 is excellent. It looks like a DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone, and this isn’t by accident. However, the HS720 offers a metallic grey color scheme that screams futuristic and just looks so much more advanced than most other drones. And at 500g, with its foldable design, it’s able to fit in your pocket when traveling eliminating the need for a backpack! The brushless motors also give the drone that extra little kick of stability and speed.

Camera Features

The HS720 has half-decent camera quality, but not as good as some other camera drones. Don’t get me wrong, the HS720 still has an HD camera, but it’s a 2K camera instead of a 4K camera. However, the camera does feature image stabilization and a 110-degree wide-angle FOV that allows you to capture much more footage, so it at least has that going for it.

Value

The remote controller the HS720 comes with is very well-designed and, as Holy Stone is apt to do, takes a lot of its ideas from DJI. It’s ergonomically sound, has a smartphone attachment at the top of the device, and the LCD screen in the middle displays all the pertinent information like drone distance, battery life, speed, and GPS data. It’s best to fly with the Ophelia app, but be warned it takes up a lot of smartphone memory.

Holy Stone HS720 Wrap Up

While there are some setbacks to the Holy Stone HS720, you’ll find it an overall pleasant flying experience if you choose it as your drone of choice. It’s always a good idea to invest in some extra batteries, and considering how long batteries take to charge on this one, it’s extra important.
