There’s ten different speeds to choose from, whereas most have three or maybe four. Setting it to the highest will net you around 900+ CFM. Even with such strong airflow air speeds, it’s surprisingly efficient with energy consumption, only ever using 56 watts at its highest speed.
Efficiency
But what kind of coverage does that entail? Dyson tested the Dyson Pure Cool TP04 Purifying Fan with 290 feet squared in mind, but it still does exceptionally well in a 400-square foot room. Alternatively, you can use Fan Mode to cool yourself or use Airflow Mode to improve indoor air quality without blowing cool air on yourself. Versatility
Unlike the Coway Airmega 300, the Dyson Pure Cool Purifying Tower Fan TP04 doesn’t have a pre-filter; dust pollen and other particles go straight to its HEPA filter. At that stage, 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns are trapped. Afterward, the activated carbon filter kicks in and handles odors and harmful gases (like nitrogen dioxide). Durability
This is Dyson we’re talking about, so of course, durability is quite good. It’s nearly 11 lbs and measures 8.77 x 8.77 x 41.49 inches. There’s a large base for better stability, but it’s rather tall, like the Envion Ionic Pro, so take care not to accidentally topple it over. Value
There’s no debating the efficiency and power of the Dyson Purifying Fan TP04. Dyson air purifiers have come a long way, and the TP04 Pure Cool Purifier Fan is the result of that. However, it’s too expensive, plain and simple—especially compared to a Coway Airmega 400. Sure, the Dyson Link app is nice for scheduling and keeping tabs, as are real-time air quality reports, so it comes down to preference. The Dyson TP04 Pure Cool Tower is packed with features, a great design, and incredible performance. Its filtration system traps 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, and it feels right at home in 400-square-foot rooms. However, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s overpriced.
