If you are living in an area that frequently experiences rain, you already understand how important it is to have an umbrella—even on days with clear skies. It’s better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it, right? For comprehensive covering against rain, the best umbrellas have to be the Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella, with its dome-shaped canopy for extra protection.

Why We Like It – totes Clear Bubble Umbrella

With a larger covering than the traditional umbrella, you get a much wider protection against rain and weather, without obscuring your vision with a clear, see-through canopy.

Pros
  • Dome shaped canopy blocks more rain
  • Clear material allows you to see
  • Very cheap
Cons
  • Not the most durable canopy
  • Lacks UV protection

Performance

For what you pay, we were surprised by how well the Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella handled weather—especially against rain. In fact, it uses a 51-inch dome shape that travels further down for greater coverage against rain (and wind). And with a comfortable grip, it isn’t hard to wield. If any umbrella can compete against it, the G4Free Ultimate Golf Umbrella has a good chance.

The Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella does not have UV protection, however. And with it being see-through, you’ll still feel some of the sun’s more harsher rays as opposed to a colored one that provides adequate shading. The EEZ-Y Windproof Travel Umbrella is a solid alternative.

Design

One look at the Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella and you’ll know it’s unique. Since it covers you more than the traditional umbrella, Totes Signature clear canopy was used to ensure you stay dry without hindering your vision. It’s one size fits all, with dimensions of 36 x 2 x 2 inches and a 51-inch dome, making it large enough to cover two, even three people (depending on the size). Its ribs are made of steel, making it sturdy but not quite as sturdy as, say, fiberglass—something the Repel Windproof Umbrella uses. Looking for a bold umbrella for your child? Value

If you know you will have to deal with rainy days frequently—somewhere like Seattle—and need to keep yourself dry for as long as humanly possible, the Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella makes a really good argument. Its bubble canopy shape is designed to make sure you stay dry. And with how large it is, people found that more than one person can fit underneath it. For what you pay, it gets our mark of value, possibly more so than the Sharpty Inverted Umbrella. And free shipping is nice, too. totes Clear Bubble Umbrella Wrap Up

The Totes Clear Bubble Umbrella is a must-have, especially in downpours. It’ll keep you dry with its dome shaped canopy that extends past your head, but makes it see-through to prevent it from obscuring your vision. We really liked that about it, and it’s cheap. It’s tough, but we prefer fiberglass. Lack of UV protection is a bummer, but this umbrella is meant for rain, not fun in the sun.
