There’s nothing more frustrating than an umbrella that folds from the slowest of winds, made worse by the fortune you spent on it. You need an umbrella that’s designed to withstand high winds and weather, one that’s easy to you and affordable. For the best umbrellas, we looked to the Repel Windproof Umbrella. With strong fiberglass winds and a double vented canopy, it’s more than prepared for weather.

Why We Like It – Repel Windproof Umbrella Review

With an impressive structure and design, this umbrella excels to the top, holding confident and steady against strong winds and weather, while being very affordable and easy to use. If price is not an issue, take a look at our Blunt Metro umbrella review if you are interested in other options.

Pros
  • Can repel various elements
  • 9 resin reinforced fiberglass ribs for extra strength
  • Double vented canopy helps wind pass through, not against
Cons
  • Doesn’t come with UV protection

Performance

The Repel Windproof Umbrella is fantastic under pressure. When high winds are upon you, it doesn’t buckle and fold. Half of its success is thanks to the 9 resin reinforced fiberglass ribs, one more than the G4Free Ultimate Golf Umbrella’s 8 resin ribs. Unlike the thin flimsy metal seen in other umbrellas, these bend every so slightly (to keep from breaking). The other half of its success is its double vented canopy, which encourages wind to pass through and not against the umbrella. It doesn’t have UV protection, however. Still, the colors are dark enough that it’ll block the most vicious of the sun’s heat, at the very least. For UV protection, consider the Sharpty Inverted Umbrella.

Design

For such a strong umbrella, it’s not a huge umbrella; in fact, it’s a rather compact umbrella. The Repel Windproof Umbrella isn’t any bigger than it has to be, with plenty of space for you and a friend to huddle under during a very rainy day, which is easy to do with the auto open button—whereas the EEZ-Y Windproof Travel Umbrella can be frustrating to open. Once closed, you can slide it into a travel sleeve that’s included with your purchase.

Value

Everything the Repel Windproof Travel Umbrella does is with utmost quality and performance. Because of how well it holds up against strong winds and weather, its quality, and design, our mark of approval is solid with this one, outperforming every umbrella on our list. There’s no doubt about it: it has excellent value. This is especially true when you consider the pricing as well. Only $23 for a high quality umbrella that can hold itself against the winds? What a deal!

Repel Windproof Umbrella Review Wrap Up

The Repel Windproof Umbrella is simply a great umbrella all around, designed to tackle high winds and weather. Nine resin reinforced fiberglass ribs keep it from folding, while double vented canopy helps the wind pass on through, not against. While UV protection isn’t part of the deal, it still provides shade against the hottest of the sun’s rays.
