While looking for the best exhaust fan for kitchen space, you must’ve come across many Broan-NuTone vertical discharge fans. The Broan-NuTone 8210, at its price, is a pretty great option for almost everyone despite any room size difference. Although, it may not be very quiet, which is why you’d turn to a quiet fan for sleeping. Regardless, they’re all great fans, just like the many fans we review here on Gadget Review.

With the Broan Nutone 8210, the brand proves once again why they are the best exhaust fan maker at mid to low price ranges. Once again, the round ducting metal design makes a comeback here. And the performance is very admirable as well.

Performance/Power
The NuTone 8210 performs very well for its price. Coming in at just $20 higher than the Hon Guan 6 Inches Exhaust Fan, it performs way better than that. It can generate up to 210 CFM airflow, which is enough to cover a 100 sq. ft. room or even bigger for that matter. Durability/Build
Just like the Westinghouse Ceiling fans, the NuTone 8210 follows the same tradition of well-built metal bodies, but this time, they changed it up a bit. Part number 8210 doesn’t have a full metal body anymore; only the round duct and the components inside are metal. The interior grill is made out of matte white plastic that is paintable to match your ceiling.
Noise/Sound Level
One of the more unfortunate things about this fan is its noise level. Similar to the Vornado 293, it’s extremely loud and doesn’t come with any distinct speed controller. To give an example to show you how loud it really is, if you have a ceiling fan and a utility fan both running at full speeds in the same room, it is capable of drowning out the noise of both combined.
Versatility/Modern Features
With the ceiling mount, the fan installs quite easily. But it is exclusively a ceiling mount fan, so probably can’t mount it if you have to deal with hanger bars. Not having the option to mount it anywhere else takes out a lot of versatility points off of it. The iLiving 10-Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan is the best in this case.
Value
If you strictly need an exhaust fan with a ceiling mount, the NuTone 8210 provides an excellent value for money proposition. But if you don’t have the kind of budget that allows you to get it, you can also go for the Broan-Nutone 512M.

Overall the NuTone 8210 provides excellent performance along with great customer service. Considering everything, if you have a bit more money to spend on a ceiling-mounted exhaust fan, the NuTone 8210 should be your go-to choice.
