Power/speed

This professional-grade air purifier has an air purification process that can clean both air and some surfaces to leave behind a fresh, long-lasting smell. Alongside the fan, it has an Ionizer, and an ozone generator, which is powerful to the point that people and animals shouldn’t be in the house when in use. Both the fan speed and purification settings are adjustable, and all of these settings can be adjusted through remote control. And, if you just want to cover smaller rooms, you can check out our InvisiClean Claro air purifier review and our GermGuardian review. For portable units, try the Hamilton Beach Trueair odor eliminator and the Frieq car air purifier.

Efficiency(room size etc.)

This air purifier is a whole home purifier due to having incredible area coverage. It has an area coverage of 3,000 square feet, easily surpassing the Alen Breathesmart classic large room air purifier, which has an area coverage of 1,100 square feet. What makes air purifiers like this stand out is how it has two modes alongside sleep mode: High mode and Away mode. High mode increases purification power, while Away mode generates an ozone smell while occupants are away from the house for long periods.

Versatility (HEPA, what does it filter, odor reduction, etc.)

Since it has a HEPA filter, air purifiers such as this can filter through a variety of air contaminants. It captures mold, and pet-related contaminants such as pet dander, bacteria, and viruses. It also captures particles no smaller than 0.5 microns, compared to the Medify Air purifier which can take particles no smaller than 0.1 microns. The GT 3000 also has a great range to the point that it can purify a whole house and leaves behind a fresh smell.

Durability

It’s a heavier air purifier, as it weighs 11 Lbs., weighing less than the Coway Airmega 400, which weighs 24.7 Lbs. Since it’s an air purifier, it will inevitably have weak points to allow the air to travel through it to be filtered. Due to having a considerably bigger fan, 2 sides of the purifier are mostly covered in vent holes to maximize the amount of air that goes in and comes out.

Value

Despite air purifiers being a very simple concept, there are features in this particular air purifier that make it as expensive as it is. The ozone generator, PCO cell, and filters are probably what contributes to the price the most. The PCO cell costs around $70, but it can also last for 9,000 hours of continuous use, which is a little over 1 year. If there’s ever a need to replace either of the filters, they cost about $30 at the most.

GT 3000 air purifier Wrap Up

Customer reviews have mostly been positive, praising the air purifier for its performance. One reviewer called it the best purifier available, and that it’s great at eliminating pet-related odor. However, it should be known that it can’t be shipped to California due to the amount of ozone that it can produce.
