Launched in 1999, DOSS speakers is an electronics company that mainly manufactures high-quality Bluetooth speakers, portable speakers, and other audio products. It’s headquartered in China, but this hasn’t stopped it from creating a global following. One of their most popular releases happens to be the DOSS Soundbox Touch portable Bluetooth speaker – a 12 Watt, easy-to-use, wireless speaker that has a 20-hour battery life. The DOSS Soundbox speaker is also equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 technology for seamless connectivity, so you shouldn’t have to worry about playing music from your mobile devices. Take a minute or two and go through this DOSS Soundbox Touch review to see why a lot of users regard it as one of the best Bluetooth speakers around right now.

Why We Like It – DOSS Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker

If you’re a fan of 360-degree all-round sound, touch controls, and easy-to-carry portable speakers, then the DOSS soundbox might be worth your consideration. With it, you’ll be able to play music from your SD card or mobile device and have a blast next to your pool as long as you don’t submerge it underwater. But if you are into an alien type of design for your gaming room speakers, check out the Edifier Prisma BT 2.1 Bluetooth speakers review.

Pros
  • Touch controls
  • 360-degree sound
  • 20 Hours of Playback Time
Cons
  • Not completely waterproof

Performance

At first glance, the DOSS Touch might look like a little speaker, but don’t be fooled – it’s capable of superior sound quality, as well as a long battery life. if you play your music at 50%, it should last about 20 hours, which is almost as much as the JBL Charge 4 and the JBL Charge 3. It produces a 12-Watt room-filling sound, with a good enough bass that’s actually impressive for a product of its price range. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, and its ability to automatically reconnect with a previously connected device will leave you quite impressed. Once the battery runs out, you’ll only need to recharge it through its Micro USB port, and this will only take about 3-4 hours if you use the provided USB cable. The portability on this device is good, considering the JBL OnBeat Air needs a power adapter plugged into the wall to work. You also get superior sound performance from it, as well as touch controls to make navigating it as easy as can be. Feel free to also read about the earlier model in the Doss Soundbox review.

Design

Looks-wise, there’s a lot to be happy about with this DOSS portable Bluetooth speaker. It’s got an elegant, rectangular design (which beats the pyramidal design of the OoontZ Angle 3 Bluetooth speaker), and a compact body that should be able to survive a couple of drops without leaving a mark. It’s available in black, blue, pink, red, and white, comes with a charging cable, and has AUX, USB, and Micro USB ports on the same panel – pretty convenient. Perhaps the most exciting thing about this stereo sound DOSS speaker is the fact that it’s navigated through capacitive touch control. Its sleek pad at the top feels good to the touch, and allows you to control things such as volume, track playback, and switch between your music source.

Value

This Doss portable Bluetooth speaker doesn’t only limit you to a wireless connection when playing your music. It’s also capable of reading a Micro SD card, and features an AUX cable for when you need to connect an external source for playback. The high-performance speaker is also waterproof, but only to some degree. It’s got an IPX4 waterproof rating just like the Bose Soundlink Color II Bluetooth speaker, so it can only resist water splashes. It is not suitable for being submerged underwater.

DOSS Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker Wrap Up

The DOSS wireless Bluetooth speaker should be a top pick for you if you value convenience, good sound quality, and remarkable design. Before you go ahead and buy it though, make sure you have a look at the reviews that other buyers have left so that you have an idea of what to expect.
