The Crosstour Mini Projector is one of the best iPhone projectors out there, though it has a wide variety of other supported connections. High maximum brightness and good adjustability make this projector an excellent value, though its low contrast ratio and native resolution are noticeable flaws, and its lack of an internal battery makes this portable projector not so portable.

Performance/Resolution

Though it does have a low native resolution of 480p, the Crosstour Mini Projector does offer full HD support for decent picture quality. The mini LED video projector displays with a limited 2,000:1 contrast ratio, and comes with two built-in speakers that can be replaced with external speakers. The projector’s upgraded cooling system provides minimal heat generation with a low fan noise that is easily drowned out by its speakers. Alternatively, the TOPVISION Mini Projector offers comparable resolution with a greater contrast ratio. If superior color accuracy and vibrancy are a must-have for you, check out the Optoma X341 thanks to the integrated Texas Instruments DMD chip.

Brightness/Lumens

The Crosstour Mini Projector displays an impressive maximum brightness compared to other mini projectors from its LED projector. With 3,500 lumens, viewing during daylight hours and in well-lit rooms is easy. Unfortunately, due to the projector’s low contrast ratio, the image quality may be disrupted in the presence of ambient light, and thus a dark environment is recommended for the optimal viewing experience. Regardless, in a sufficiently dark room, this home theater system displays bright, beautiful colors.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

For easy setup anywhere, the Crosstour Mini Projector comes with a few features to make installation simple. A manual focus ring provides the clearest picture, with some slight blurring on the edges according to reviews on Amazon.com. The projector also comes with keystone correction technology, allowing for wide flexibility of placement options. The projector has a throw distance of 1.7-2m, displaying a minimum screen size of 22”, and a maximum size of 176”.

Durability

The Crosstour Mini Projector is built with portability in mind, hosting a frame that is 7.72×6.5×3.11” and just a hair over 2 pounds, and supports a wide range of connection options including HDMI, USB, AV, VGA, SD card, TV Stick, and more, and comes with an included AV and HDMI cable. The projector boasts a very impressive average lamp life, with the bulb only needing replacement every 55,000 hours or so, promising years of dedicated service. Crosstour also offers professional after-sale service and a 1-year guarantee, as well as an optional 4-year or 3-year protection plan.

Value

While the Crosstour Mini Projector has its flaws, it still delivers quality performance and plenty of connection options and adjustability features for a low price point. Considering everything you get for such a low price, the Crosstour P770 is an exceptional value. Few projectors can compete in terms of quality at their price range, such as the QKK Mini Projector with an estimated 50,000 hours of lamp life, or the GooDee Mini Projector, with approximately 30,000 hours of lamp life, both fantastic alternatives with even lower price tags. The Dr. J Professional HI-04 mini projector has a lamp life of 40,000 hours. It’s only the BenQ i500 mobile LED projector that has a lower lamp life.

Crosstour Mini Projector Wrap Up

Though it comes with a few flaws, namely its relatively low picture quality and lack of internal battery, the Crosstour Mini Projector is an incredible value and delivers good performance, adjustability, and connection options, which you’ll find on the BenQ MS517 SmartEco projector. This portable mini projector is a great product for those looking to enhance their viewing experience without breaking the bank, especially those looking to connect their smartphone to a projector that won’t take up much space.
