Performance
The first thing we’ll cover in our T5 review is the performance. It comes with a sensor size of 22.3mm x 14.9mm and can shoot still images up to 18 MP. The T5 EOS can also record videos in 1080p at either 30fps, 24 fps, or 25 fps. It can also record at 720p, at either 50 or 60 fps. The EOS Rebel T5 has the live view feature that allows you to see what the lens is seeing. If you need a webcam instead, the Logitech C922x Pro or the Zoom Q3HD camcorder are better options.
Design
The design of the Rebel T5 is very similar to most cameras out there with a classic black molded plastic finish. Except, the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR can come in white. The front is dominated by the interchangeable kit lens, and also has some texturing for a better grip. The rear is home to the large 3.0-inch 460K-dot LCD screen. The screen is clear and can be used as an alternative to the optical viewfinder. All the buttons are intuitively placed and it shouldn’t take much time to get used to them. The Canon EOS Rebel T5 is an excellent entry point into the world of DSLR cameras. It can take 18 MP pictures with excellent clarity and can also record full HD video at 1080p, just like the Canon PowerShot N. It gives the option to replace the lens with something more powerful should you wish and has access to Canon’s extensive range of accessories. When comparing the price to the feature, this camera has excellent value for money. The Lakasara 1080p Camcorder is a better option if you plan on recording videos.

Many DSLR cameras can cost a fortune, but not the Canon EOS Rebel T5. It comes at a reasonable price and has good features like an 18MP camera, and 1080p video recording. More importantly, the quality of both is excellent. Unfortunately, there’s no Wi-Fi capability, but that’s to be expected at this price point. If you want to try your hand at photography, the Rebel T5 is a good start.
