If you’re looking for a compact camera that made our best cheap vlogging camera for YouTube list, the Panasonic Lumix is a fantastic choice, just like its cousin the Panasonic Lumix G7. This travel zoom compact camera features a Leica DC lens with a 30x zoom lens and a small sensor to keep the size to a minimum. It has both automatic and manual focus and can be controlled through the mode dial or control ring. If you like cameras with a retro look, then this could be the best vlogging camera for you.

Why We Like It – Panasonic Lumix ZS50

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 is a fantastic camera with many excellent features like great image quality, a high sensitivity MOS sensor, full HD video recording, and a large zoom range. It has a compact size, yet still performs well during low light conditions and delivers superb white balance and focus peaking.

Pros
  • Allows RAW shooting
  • Great image quality
  • Compact size
Cons
  • No GPS
  • No touchscreen
  • No 4K recording

Performance

Similar to the Panasonic Lumix G85, the Lumix DMC ZS50 offers brilliant performance for such a small camera. It comes with a high sensitivity MOS sensor, and 30x optical zoom. The focal length is 24-720mm and the sensor resolution sits at 12 MP. The Panasonic Lumix ZS50 also has a built-in optical image stabilizer with a five-axis anti-shake system, as well as an electronic viewfinder. As with most cameras these days, the Lumix ZS50 has both Wi-Fi and NFC capability. If you’d prefer a webcam, the Logitech C922x Pro may be a better option. Design

The Panasonic Lumix ZS50 has a very compact and elegant design, somewhat like the Longin digital camera. It has the standard rectangular shape in black, but with stylish silver accents. The front is dominated by the large lens and also features the flash, and some texturing for a better grip. But for a device with an LCD screen, check out the Canon PowerShot G7 X. The rear has a flush, 3.0-inch display with great image quality. One of the standout features is the control ring around the lens, which allows you to quickly adjust settings in certain modes. If you’re planning on using your camera for activities, the YI 4K Action Camera is worth checking out. Looking for a lightweight, and stylishly slim camera for your travel needs? Value

This camera may be small, unlike the Canon PowerShot G3 X, but it’s packed with features. It may “only” shoot in 12 MP, but the picture quality is much clearer than many rivals with better specs. It also has fantastic optical zoom and image stabilization. The ZS50 is lightweight and has a premium feel to it. All the buttons are configured to allow one-handed operation, and they can also be controlled through the app. It’s a perfect camera to keep in your pocket for spontaneous shots, and it offers good value for money, like the Lakasara 1080p Camcorder.

Panasonic Lumix ZS50 Wrap Up

The ZS50 is a compact Panasonic Lumix Camera with a Leica lens. It delivers excellent image quality and comes with great features like a large zoom range, 5-axis image stabilization, and an electronic viewfinder. It’s also sturdy and easy to use. It may lack a GPS and a touchscreen, but for its price that’s acceptable.
