If you’re in the market for wireless headphones that also cancel out distracting noises, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II are the best headphones for the job. Not only are they built to last hours, but the sound quality also makes them great for listening to music while you drown everything out with its noise cancellation options, along with a few neat additional features. If you also want these Bose headphones to operate like Bluetooth headphones, you should also read our review of Sony’s DRC-BT30P Bluetooth headphone adapter (which lets you use your existing earbuds).

Why We Like It – Bose QuietComfort 35 II Review

The Bose QuietComfort 35 II offers one of the best options for a pair of traveling headphones thanks to its great sound quality and noise cancellation, not to mention a few additional amenities.

Pros
  • Excellent noise-cancelling options
  • Great sound quality
  • Comes with additional features
Cons
  • Can’t replace the battery
  • Expensive

Performance

Listening to music, or even gaming, sounds great; bass is at an optimal level without being obnoxious, but not as good as the MPOW H10, and foreground sounds are that much clearer. The sound quality on the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, however, isn’t the top of the line of what Bose can output, but to be fair, it’s the features that the Bose QC35 II is better known for. While options like the Sony WH-1000XM3 are available if you favor sound quality, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II is far more comfortable to wear, especially around the ears.

By sacrificing a bit on sound quality—going from amazing down to great—the Bose QuietComfort 35 II is fitted for active noise cancellation. If you’re on a long flight, these are absolutely perfect as a noise-canceling option, while still being a really great pair of headphones—up to 20 hours of battery life, in fact! an action button is located on the left earbud that controls noise-canceling options, which you can do by using the Bose Connect app. On the right earbud, there’s a Google Assistant button to access the Google Assistant app, provided you set it up.

Design

Physically speaking, the QC 35 II is of a simple design, equipped with a comfortable set of cushions on the earbuds. The headphones have plenty of curves to them to wrap around your head without squeezing, along with a cushion at the top for comfort. For noise cancellation, that’s a necessary attribute, though the Cowin E7 headphones have the Bose QC 35 II’s beat in comfort. But you may want to compare the Airpods Max Vs Bose Quietcomfort 35 just to see which one is superior.

That being said, these headphones are wireless in design, but you can switch from wired mode to an audio cable when the headphones die after about 20 hours.

Value

Considering the QC 35 II is manufactured by Bose, you aren’t getting a cheap pair of headphones; these are quality built, and it shows. These are clearly premium headphones from a premium brand like Bose. While the sound is of the highest quality compared to other Bose products, these aim to provide great sound quality, and make up for it with tons of features.

Along with a pair of great sounding headphones, you get some of the best noise-canceling options, wireless and wired modes, and even access to Google Assist, or Amazon’s Alexa. And the buttons on the sides for easy access is a nice touch. For more great-sounding headphones, you’ll want to check out our review of the I-Mego Walker JR noise-canceling headphones.

Bose QuietComfort 35 II Review Wrap Up

Bose is known for making premium products, and the Bose QuietComfort 35 II isn’t any different, hence the expensive price tag. The sound quality is great—not amazing—and the really long battery life is necessary for long flights, not to mention canceling nearby sounds. With access to bonus features easily accessible with a press of a button, the Bose QC 35 II’s aims for portability and features with only a slight sacrifice to sound quality, but still outclasses most headphones in that department.
