It starts with its noise-canceling capabilities; people next to you on a plane are virtually gone. When you close your eyes and place the ear cups on your head, the ambient noises are gone and it’s like everyone disappeared. The WH1000XM2 was already excellent with noise-cancelling, and the Sony WH1000XM3 easily outclasses them, including the Cowin E7. With its proprietary processor, the QN1, you’re getting even better sound quality with your choice of sounds, far exceeding the previous model. Design
Audio performance wasn’t the only boost the Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Headphones got; build quality has also seen a big improvement—far superior to the Mpow 059. The MVP here is the ear cushions. Soft pressure-relieving earpads with larger and deeper ergonomic ear space, combined with a lightweight design allow comfort to be felt for several hours. However, they can get rather warm after a few hours.
The right earcup can activate your voice assistant—Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant—so long as you’ve connected it to the Sony Headphones Connect App. These wireless headphones are also open to USB-C charging.

Sony’s WH-1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones are packed with great features people look for in premium headphones, and were then improved upon. Compared to the last model, every inch of the headphones is better: sound quality, noise cancellation, and design. That alone blows the Panasonic RP-HT161-K out of the water.
At first glance, $278 may sound like a lot, but consider its original price of $350, and the fact that this is Sony. If you go off of brand recognition alone, you’ll know you’re getting a high-quality product.
