For the longest time, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II was one of the best Bose headphones; Bose Noise-Cancelling Headphones 700 are here to dethrone them in every aspect. Starting with sound quality, the QC35 II were already a great pair of headphones for music, and the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 Headphones kick it up a notch.
The mids and highs are noticeably more clear, and the bass is perfect, not obnoxious, which makes it a great pair of workout headphones. There’s more presence to voices and sounds if you’re watching movies, or listening to music. It even extends to phone calls, providing better call quality—a serious contender next to one of the best Sony headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM3.
As for noise cancellation, QC 35 II’s would sometimes let in really high sounds—just a tad. The Bose 700’s eliminate that altogether. So someone who is being obnoxious near you will be drowned out entirely. And with a battery life of 20 hours, that is a long time to enjoy its performance.

Design
Similar to the Beats Studio3 wireless noise-cancelling headphones, the Bose Noise-Canceling Headphones 700 are deceptively simple in design. One quick look at them and you wouldn’t realize the oodles of technology under the hood with this new design. There are only three buttons found on the right earcup and left, one to control a voice assistant—Google Assistant or Amazon’s Alexa—another for power, and the last for controlling the various levels of noise cancellation. Volume, play, pause, previous track, and next track are all functions tied to touch controls on the right ear cup. This is a fun way to control Bose apps, especially when using the Bose Music app. It goes without saying, these headphones are far more comfortable than the MPOW H10.

Value
Considering the noticeable improvement over previous models, long battery life, superb noise-cancelling, and excellent sound quality—the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are of great value, but only if you’ve got the funds to do so. They’re partially a luxury item, but it’s also Bose, a well-known brand, and the ANC headphones are built with additional functions not seen in other headphones.
