Performance

For under $30, the AMICCOM Home Security Camera performed more than its price. We can already give it a go-ahead for small homes. Its impressive night vision can keep quality high as far as 32 feet. And that blends beautifully with the advanced motion detection, which is adjustable, and will alert you to any shenanigans.

While the connection between the outdoor security cameras and your Wi-Fi is solid, it cannot benefit from a strong 5GHz Wi-Fi connection. For a surveillance camera, we would’ve liked the option. It’s still plenty good for smart assistance like Google Assistant or Alexa, unlike the HeimVision HM241 1080p.

Design

The AMICCOM Home Security Camera is a rather small device, not much bigger than a Ring Indoor Home Security Camera. This makes it ideal as both a hidden nest camera. At the same time, its IP66 weather resistance makes it perfectly capable on the outside.

One issue we faced with the AMICCOM Security System was storage. It doesn’t have any cloud storage—only local storage. On the bright side, it accepts micro SD cards up to 256 GB. For cloud storage, look to the Blink XT2 3 Camera System.

Value

For a smart home security camera, the AMICCOM Home Security Camera is spot on for $29. Set up a few of these around your home and you’ll certainly get your money’s worth. And since they’re so cheap, getting a decently-sized micro SD card for each isn’t out of the realm of possibility and a relatively small investment. Because of the camera’s performance as a nest cam and an outdoor camera, we’re giving this our mark of great value.

AMICCOM Home Security Camera Review Wrap Up

The AMICCOM Home Security Camera has very few downsides; lacking cloud storage is a bummer, but makes up for it with compatibility with 256GB micro SD cards. It’s perfectly capable of being eyes in your home and outside with its IP66 water resistance rating. And at night, its impressive night vision will track any unknown factors.
