Performance
For $60 (per camera), we were blown away by all the features the Ring Indoor Cam was packing. Right out of the box, you get access to motion detection, night vision, two way audio, and live video. Most companies would stick to the bare minimum with upgrades, but not these Ring devices. Ring Indoor Security Cameras can shoot any of its features in clear, crisp 1080p video resolution through a 2.4GHz Wi Fi. Its motion detection is particularly advanced, putting the “smart” in smart security. It had no problem outperforming the HeimVision HM241 1080p, outclassing its 75-degree field of view with the Ring’s 140-degree FOV.
Design
Sorry to disappoint, but these are not indoor outdoor Ring cameras—strictly indoor. They don’t have the same IP66 waterproof that the AMICCOM Home Security Camera has. It’s a tough pair of cameras, that’s for sure, but they’re meant for indoors. Also, its cam battery runs off of a wired connection, so you’ll need to place them near an electrical outlet for nonstop power. If you’re clever enough, you might be able to hide them somewhere inconspicuous considering they’re smaller than an 8oz water bottle; otherwise they’re easy to install.
Value
Now let’s talk value. Are the Ring Indoor Home Security Cameras worth their weight in gold? Absolutely. For $60 per camera, performance, features, and overall design are top-notch. There’s no doubt in our minds that you’re getting a great deal here.
The issue is the Ring Protect Plan required for a 60-day video history. Without it you cannot save your videos, only view footage in real-time and receive notifications from the Ring app (after creating a Ring account). Ring Protect Plus brings its own value for $3 per camera, per month, but that’s one more bill to worry about. At least with the Blink XT2 3 Camera System you get free storage for a year.

If indoor security is a priority, the Ring Indoor Home Security Camera is a no-brainer. Because of how well it performs, it’s worth considering the required subscription for video history for the sake of evidence. After all, it can capture quite a bit in 1080p video resolution and 140-degree FOV.
