Nine ounces seems to be Nike’s new magic number when it comes to launching their new footwear. Course, that number is only applicable at size 9 or smaller, so if you’re anything like me – I wear a size 11 – you’ll probably tip the shoe scales at over 9.5oz, that is assuming you pick up a pair of their new Nike Free Trainer 3.0. According to Nike the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 are their most advanced training shoe. Wait, didn’t Nike lay claim to a similar stat not too long ago? I don’t know, and quite frankly I don’t care as the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 have “buy me” written all over them. That, or I’m seriously brainwashed. That being said, these sneaks are designed for the athlete who engages in a wide variety of sports, which means you and I don’t have to compromise and buy a pair of their training shoes in order for our feet to look sleek. The Nike Free Trainer 3.0 are said to offer a dynamic fit that “cradles the midfoot, conforming to each athlete’s foot while providing superior lockdown during training.” There is a slew of advanced materials used to fabricate these trainers, which includes a mesh upper with enforced polyurethane support, that comes in the form of a strand-like design that can bear any load in any direction thanks to rigidity and flexibility. The midsole is made from Phylon, a lightweight yet responsive cushioning, while a low profile provide an experience that is more analogous to bare-foot training.
The Nike Free Trainer 3.0 will hit stores everywhere January 1st, 2013 for a yet to be disclosed price.
