The new model pairs the powerful and ultra light Nike Flyknit upper with the super soft and responsive Nike Lunarlon cushioning, which is a “magical combination,” according to Rob Dolan, Senior Design Director of Nike Running. The shoe also has more stretch than the previous model for a better fit and attached the tongue to keep it in place. The micro-engineered Flyknit upper provides support, stretch and ventilation where it’s needed most, while Flywire cables are integrated into the upper to cradle the foot and provide runners with a supportive lockdown.
Designers used pressure mad data to help design the outsole to provide runners with more natural strides, great for elite to beginner runners.
