This SkyTech gaming rig is an excellent middle-of-the-road rig that offers some of the best options without breaking the bank: 8GB of RAM, Ryzen 3 1200 CPU and a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB to run most modern games on medium to high settings.

Performance
Popping the panel off, the SkyTech Shadow Gaming Computer is combining two medium-high pieces: a quad core processor, the Ryzen 1200, and a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB with a 1TB hard drive. To paint a better picture, this kind of gaming rig will certainly play Apex Legends, PUBG, Fortnite, and Doom (2016) just fine on high settings. FPS usually runs in the low to mid 60s; Doom (2016), for example, runs in the 90s.
While the first Shadow model is good, the GTX 1060 3GB model is slightly better. Either way, you’re getting CPUs that are faster and more robust than, say, an AMD FX 8350, but a few steps behind CPUs like the Intel Core i5-9400F. We would’ve liked more than 8GB of RAM, but it’s a small cost for another stick of 8GB.
Design
This NVIDIA GTX Ti gaming PC steps away from the simple design of, say, the iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC, and goes with a rather exotic design, almost futuristic. You could imagine the warp drive of an alien ship looking like the SkyTech Shadow Gaming Desktop. Hiding behind the front panel, believe it or not, is a CD-drive, in addition to Wi Fi USB ports—a variety of 2.0 and 3.0—can be found. Sadly, the SkyTech Blaze 2 Gaming PC did not have a CD-drive.
Value
Pre built gaming PCs can go one of two ways: hot garbage or a perfect jumping off point as a gaming computer desktop PC. We’re happy to state the SkyTech Shadow GTX 1050 Ti Gaming Desktop falls under the category of “perfect jumping off point.” Is it fitted with the best graphics card RAM or processor? No, but its performance makes it ideal as someone’s first gaming computer, with the added benefit of a one year warranty and a keyboard mouse combo bundled inside. If you want more, upgrade to the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme for an extra $125.
SkyTech Shadow Gaming Computer Review Wrap Up
The SkyTech Shadow Gaming Computer, most of all, does everything you need it to: play modern PC games on medium to high settings; the Ryzen 3 and GTX 1050 Ti allow for that performance. And it’s so affordable that you can seriously consider beefing it up with extra RAM and a better PSU.
