Performance

In addition to 8GB DDR4 RGB AC Wifi Windows, this gaming PC is built with a 6-core Ryzen 5 2600 3.4Ghz (3.9 GHz Max Boost) and a NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB. To put that in perspective, games such as Tomb Raider, Apex Legends, and Fortnite all benefit from this Ryzen 5 3.4GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti combo. You’ll be able to crank the settings up to high and still get frames into the seventies and beyond. Having gaming memory DDR4—8GB worth—is on the low side. We would’ve liked at least 12, but ideally 16GB like our second best, the iBUYPOWER Pro Gaming PC.

Design

T SkyTech Blaze 2 Gaming Computer PC Desktop Ryzen 5 2600 has a very “gamer” feel to it. It features three fans for much better circulation. Sharp angles in the front contrast nicely with the flat surfaces of the tempered glass case. It comes with 6x USBs—4 are USB 3.1, and 2 are USB 2.0.

What the SkyTech Blaze II Gaming PC lacks is an optical drive. Digital gaming is common nowadays anyways. If you have CDs, you’ll have to resort to an external drive (between $20-30). Not even our top choice, the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme, has a CD drive.

Value

The Skytech Blaze 2 PC Gaming Desktop makes a big leap from Skytech’s first Blaze pre built PC, with one model using an Intel Core i5 9400F. That’s still a great computer, but this is a great PC as an entry level computer, seeing as the investment includes a one year warranty, a free RGB gaming keyboard and gaming mouse. Its performance and overall design reflect that. And since it’s so affordable, you should leave room for upgrades such as a better PSU, RAM, and perhaps a beefy hard drive. But if you’ve got the income, consider dropping $2400 on the HP Omen Obelisk.

SkyTech Blaze 2 Gaming PC Wrap Up

The SkyTech Blaze 2 Gaming PC makes some tough cuts, as seen by the lack of optical drive and 8GB of RAM. To be fair, digital games are commonplace now, and the GTX 1660 Ti 6GB makes up for the shortage of RAM, letting the GPU handle your games more than your PC’s backend resources. SkyTech even tosses in a gaming keyboard and mouse, making it an ideal choice for high-end budget gaming.
