Most devices have expanded storage slots these days and we never seem to have enough space. The Silicon Power 64GB SD card is an affordable solution to the problem. It’s ideal for many devices including mobile phones, tablets, and even cameras and gaming devices. This memory card came third on our best micro SD card list thanks to its capabilities. If you want an SD card that has more space, you should also read our 4GB SD card 225mbs review.

Why We Like It – Silicon Power micro SD

The Silicon Power 64GB card is perfect for expanding the storage capacity of your devices and backing up files. The 64GB storage capacity is compatible with most devices and best of all, it comes at a very affordable price.

Pros
  • Low Price
  • Compatible with most devices
  • Waterproof and shockproof
Cons
  • Small storage capacity
  • Relatively short five-year warranty
  • Susceptible to corruption

Performance

This MicroSD card may be smaller than many other memory cards on the market, but it’s compatible with more devices. It has a read speed of up to 80MB/s and a write speed of 10MB/s. These speeds make it ideal for recording in full HD. This card can store approximately 24,000 photos, 850 minutes of video, and 24,000 photos. Just make sure none of them have rights reserved. If you need more storage capacity or faster speeds it’s worth taking a look at the SanDisk 256GB Ultra MicroSDXC.

Design

This 64 GB memory card sits below the Superior Pro lineup in the Silicon Power range. For a budget card Silicon Power’s 64GB is still X-ray proof, Temperature-proof, shockproof, and waterproof. It also comes with a five-year limited manufacturer warranty. This means that the Silicon Power 65GB is ideal for people on the go or with an outdoors lifestyle. The warranty is a bit short and if you’re looking for something much more durable, the Samsung EVO 128GB is an excellent choice.

Value

Compared to many other Microsd cards, the Silicon Power 64GB has a great balance of price, storage capacity, and performance. Just like the Micro Center 64GB, the capacity of this memory card is enough for many day to day uses. It’s read and write speeds are fine for recording HD video or playing games on a Nintendo switch. This card allows you to extend the memory on your various devices at an almost negligible cost and is good value for money.

Silicon Power micro SD Wrap Up

The Silicon Power Micro SD is cheaper than most sd cards and a great choice if you want to expand your memory without spending much. While the storage capacity isn’t the best, it allows this card to be compatible with a large variety of devices. It also has enough speed to be used for a wide range of uses.
