The POYANK Projector is a bit large for a portable projector, but this comes with a variety of benefits that makes this video projector close to the best projector for sports out there.
Though best in dark rooms, the POYANK Projector has a decent maximum brightness for daytime and outdoor viewing, and will faithfully display quality pictures for both viewing media and playing video games.”

Why We Like It – POYANK Projector

The POYANK Projector is an excellent mini projector with wi-fi connectivity for easy smartphone connection. With good image quality, AV, VGA, and USB connectivity options, low fan noise, and a long product life, this home theater projector has a lot to offer.

Pros
  • Good connection options
  • Long life
  • Low fan noise
Cons
  • Native 720p
  • Low contrast ratio

Performance/Resolution

Despite the POYANK Projector only possessing a native resolution of 720p, it does support full 1080p resolution through its LED projector. The contrast ratio is 2,000:1. This home entertainment system also comes with two built-in speakers for SRS audio, to provide a genuinely cinematic experience at home. The upgraded fan and cooling system reduces the noise produced by the projector. The wireless projector also comes with wi-fi connectivity for easy smartphone connection. If you’re after a higher resolution, the ViewSonic PX747, Optoma 4K Projector, and the Acer H7850 are both 4K alternatives.

But don’t rule out 1080p projectors completely. They can perform well for their often low prices, as you’ll find in our reviews of Epson home cinema 2150 wireless 1080p 3LCD projector, Cibest projector, and the QKK mini projector.

Brightness/Lumens

Unlike TOPVISION mini projector, the POYANK Projector offers a decent maximum brightness of 2,500 lumens, ensuring a quality cinema experience even during daylight hours and in the great outdoors. Unfortunately, the projector comes with a low contrast ratio, which means some picture quality will be sacrificed for brightness when projecting in anything but a dark room. For greater lumens and a higher contrast ratio, we highly recommend the Optoma EH415ST as a powerful alternative.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

The frame of the POYANK Projector comes with an M6 screw hole for easy mounting on either the ceiling or a tripod, with an image flip feature for easier installation. The projector also offers keystone correction technology, able to correct images vertically up 19 degrees and down 10 degrees, allowing for a variety of placement options. The projector can be placed between 1.5 and 3.5 meters, for a maximum screen size of 176” and a minimum of 32”.

Durability

The POYANK Projector is designed to be portable, with a 10.83×9.37×4.53” case, and comes with a variety of connection options such as a TV box, HDMI, USB, AV, and Amazon Prime Fire TV Stick, and even the ability to directly connect to your smartphone, no adapter needed. One of the projector’s best features is the bulb’s incredible 50,000 hours of average life, requiring very infrequent replacement. As you can see, this projector is highly advanced compared to a portable projector like the Kodak ultra-mini.

Value

The POYANK Projector is a very cheap projector, though you wouldn’t know it from its features. With high performance, good maximum brightness, and lots of adjustability and connection options, this portable projector makes for an excellent value. On top of everything else, the product also comes with free shipping offered through Amazon.com. When compared to similar products in its price range, the POYANK Projector offers a good deal of quality.

POYANK Projector Wrap Up

Though the POYANK Projector is not without its flaws, namely its low contrast ratio, it has a great deal more positive attributes. The ability to take with you good quality images, and plenty of connection options including streaming through your smartphone and hooking up the projector to a Bluetooth speaker, coupled with a fair amount of adjustability options make this an excellent projector that should definitely be considered for your first projector purchase.
