The Nemo Equipment Losi Tent is a three person tent that allows users to set up quickly, which is especially helpful as a backpack tent. While it is 6.7 pounds, it has some great features that you cannot find in other three-person tents, making it one of the best tents on the market. If you are using it as a one person tent for adventure hiking and camping, you will have ample room, as well as privacy. This tent is comparable to the Kelty TN2 Tent, however it is more expensive.

Why We Like It – Nemo Equipment Losi Tent

The double entry feature on this tent is very cool and efficient making it one of the best tents. Most tents have only one entry and exit point which means that you have to climb over each other when trying to get settled in or leave the tent for any reason. Having two doorways is a great feature. The no-see-um mesh canopy is also great as it keeps even the tiniest bug out. If you want complete privacy, the rain fly is made of heavy-duty material to reduce shadows.

Pros
  • Dual entry; limits movements in the tent
  • More head-room for comfort
  • Easy to roll up and store
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Heavy for a backpack tent

Performance

The nemo losi ls is a high functioning tent that meets the needs of its users. Whether you use it as a one person, two person, or three person tent, you will not be disappointed with the ease of setup or the extra room built into the backpacking tent. While the tent is sold as a three person gear, two people can fit in it much more comfortably, as most three person tents are marketed the same. The tent also has two vestibules, to keep the inside area as clean as possible, and free from debris tracked in on your shoes. While it is nowhere near the size or price of the Big Agnes Flying Diamond 8, it is a third of the weight. Unless you are hosting a huge campout, this tent is probably a better fit for you. Design

The losi ls has a tent floor area of 46.6 square feet. It has a gear loft to store a light or a cell phone. The tent itself is made from high quality ripstop polyester, making it durable. The Nemo also has a roll-up stuff sack that keeps your tent, the stakes, and cords all organized and easily accessible with every use. The jakes feet are an innovative way to hold your poles in place, rather than using grommets. You will find that some models of the Nemo have the jakes feet and some have grommets; it comes down to personal preference. Compared to the Hilleberg Tarra, the size is about the same, but the Nemo is a fraction of the price. Another company that makes durable mountaineering, backpacking, and camping tents is Nemo. Value

While the Nemo tent is on the expensive side, it has a lot of features that are unique, or not common, among tents from other manufacturers. The no-see-um mesh is an innovative feature that allows fresh air in, and the ability to star-gaze, without the bugs. If you need a rain fly for the night, or for extra insulation, the one included is a heavy-duty material that will withstand multiple set-ups and break-downs. Nemo Equipment Losi Tent Wrap Up

We like all of the creative features this tent offers. The no-see-um mesh is a cool feature that is not common in more traditional tents. The dual door is also a nice feature that is rarely seen in other tents, as well. Additionally, the jakes feet are a nice change-up from grommets. While the price is on the higher end of the spectrum, if you are an avid camper, you will appreciate the features found in the Nemo.
