The main selling feature of the Logitech Harmony All in One Remote Control is that it attempts to bridge the gap between savvy and un-savvy technology users, It mostly succeeds, despite a few hiccups, and anyone can purchase and enjoy home control quickly and painlessly. Check out our best universal remote list to see how it stacks up! You can even compare it with the items in your best Tv accessories list.

Why We Like It – Logitech Harmony All in One Remote Control

Harmony Remotes have been the go to universal remote controls for for a long time now and the Harmony All in One is no different. Blending remote control usage and a hub for smartphones, the Harmony All in One can be used by both technologically savvy and un-savvy without too much trouble. If you have at most 10 home devices with remotes, you can merge all the remotes into one using the gadget featured in our Logitech harmony 665 review.

Pros
  • HUB and Physical Remote
  • A lot tougher than touch screen models
  • Operates via wi-fi, bluetooth, and infrared
Cons
  • Remote only supports 8 devices
  • No touch screen
  • Harmony app is difficult to use

Performance

The Logitech Harmony All in One Remote Control supports your Apple TV, and even your cable box, via the Harmony Remote. The companion remote allows you to control devices, such as your XBox One (or you’re entire home entertainment center, really), with a single button. The universal remote is IR based so you can still control your entertainment system even without a line of sight, which is pretty neat. Unfortunately, one remote can only pair with eight devices. For those who have a lot of smart home devices, this could pose a problem. Try the Logitech Harmony Ultimate One Remote if you’d like to connect to more devices. Design

The Harmony Hub and the Logitech Harmony Companion remote are a lot tougher than their touch screen brothers. Unfortunately, the Harmony App takes a bit of time to get used to. This may not bode well for those who aren’t so technologically savvy, but at least Logitech has included universal remotes who prefer to use them to control their home theater devices. And while it is less fragile, not having a touch screen seems like a step backwards. But if you prefer not having a remote control, try the Logitech Harmony Hub Remote.

Value

The Harmony All in One allows you to add up to 50 of your favorite channels for quick and easy access to watch TV. It also features voice control, which we recommend integrating to control the macros. It operates via wi fi, bluetooth, or infrared for home control, and unlike the Logitech Harmony Elite, set-up is quick and painless. If you are looking for something a little more traditional and budget-friendly try the GE Universal Remote. It may only support up to 4 devices, but it’s under $10.00

Logitech Harmony All in One Remote Control Wrap Up

The Logitech Harmony All in One Remote control blends HUB and remote usage into a single package that can be used by just about anybody. It’s a shame the remote can only control eight devices, and that the app is a little difficult to understand, but this is a fantastic attempt and fixing these issues will make the All in One soar to even further heights.
