The Germ Guardian AC5350B Air Filter employs an activated carbon filter (it’s actually a charcoal filter) alongside a pre-filter to remove large airborne particles. Afterward, a UV bulb with UV C Light Technology kills the small and large particles, similar to what you’d find on the Envion Therapure. Efficiency
GermGuardian AC5350B Air Purifiers are rated to clean a room of about 165 square feet. This may not sound like much, but it’s actually pretty average as far as plug-in air purifiers go. You can use other filters if you need to, I guess, but the effectiveness will severely drop if it’s not Germ Guardian.

The AC5350B possesses an incredible five different fan speeds so you can have the correct setting for every situation. And at $135.00 it’s a lot more affordable than most other large-scale plug-in air purifiers, believe it or not. However, be aware that the unit can get very loud when on the highest setting. On the lowest, it’s about the same as some rustling leaves, but that’s still high for the lowest possible setting.
