Looking for a hassle-free way to keep track of your pet or loved ones? You ought to try out the GeoZilla GPS tracker. This little device is all you need to stay informed about any movements from your cat, your kid or your grandparents. It’s battery life is also not bad, as it depends on how often you prefer to be receiving updates. If you want to get updates every 5 minutes, you’ll have it drained before the end of the day, but if you can have it send updates every 30 minutes, then it could stretch to about 5 days on a single charge. The tracker is ideal for anyone who’s not able to carry or use a smartphone, and it also comes with an SOS button that can be pressed to relay information about the carrier’s live location in case of an emergency. Could it be the best GPS tracker for its price? Well, that depends. Sit tight through this review to know what you should expect. And, if you’re looking for trackers for other purposes, check out our highly-rated GPS tracker list.

Why We Like It – GeoZilla GPS Tracker Review

The GeoZilla GPS tracker is an all round solution that can help you keep track of people, pets and personal possessions that you never want to lose sight of. It’s almost the size of a car key fob, and comes with an app that’s really easy and straightforward to use.

Pros
  • Up to 3 Weeks Location History
  • 5 Day Battery Life
  • SOS Button Included
Cons
  • Comes with 2 buttons that have no function

Performance

GPS trackers are becoming more and more worthwhile to use especially if it’s people that you want to keep track of. The GeoZilla GPS tracker though isn’t limited to just people and pets. You can also place it in the back of your car to know where it is at all times, and on top of that, you’ll be able to get updates of how the car is being driven as well. The tracker relies on GPS and Cellular networks to send location updates, and the handler is able to view the tracker’s location on their smartphone through the GeoZilla app. The app is fairly easy to use, and allows you to set up geofences for custom arrival and departure notifications. The geofences can be set up anywhere around the world since the GPS tracker supports global coverage. The only thing that could’ve been improved is the battery life, since a tracker like the LandAirSea 54 GPS Tracker is able to push through 2 weeks on a single charge, outshining GeoZilla’s 5 days.

Design

In terms of looks, the GeoZilla tracker is well designed with a black, diamond patterned top and a silver trim. It comes with one SOS button, and two others that might’ve been put there just for looks. It measures about 1.8 x 1.6 x 0.7 inches and weighs almost an ounce making it very easy to carry around. Out of the box, the GeoZilla tracker comes with a USB cable for charging, a hard case pouch for safe storage, a shell belt clip for secure attachment and a lanyard that you can have someone wear around their neck as they move about. There’s no optional battery extender that you can get with the GeoZilla GPS tracker, but if having one is high on your priority list, then you might be interested in the Tracki 2020 GPS Tracker.

Value

To use the GeoZilla family locator, you’ll have to subscribe to one of their data packages. You can opt to pay $5 for a month, $50 for a year, or go the full mile and pay $99 for three years worth of coverage. If you opt for the premium version at $79 per year or $49 every 3 months, you’ll be able to get location history back to almost three weeks, and to see if it’ll be worth it, you can sign up for their 3 day trial and then make your decision. These packages are more affordable compared to alternatives like the PrimeTracking Personal GPS Tracker, at $25 a month or even $20 per month for 6 months.
