As the name suggests, the Friedrich Chill air conditioner will have your room as chilled as you need it to be, thanks to its 6000 BTU cooling capacity. The A/C unit takes the form of a window air conditioner, and is not a great through-wall A/C, so it’s only good for one room. Nonetheless, it has an impressive coverage area of about 250 sq. ft. and is also energy star certified meaning it won’t eat up your electricity. The window air conditioner also takes the sixth spot on our best air conditioners list, so it’s got a lot of good value to offer. Go ahead and read this review to find out what.

Why We Like It – Friedrich Chill CP06G10B 6,000 BTU review

With its impressive energy efficiency, 6000 BTU rating, and 4 control modes, the Friedrich Chill air conditioner is a product of high quality, and will probably serve you for a long period to come. Due to its energy star rating, it’s a lot more efficient than other air conditioners, and with a cooling area of 250 square feet, it’s the perfect choice for your bedroom, just like the Friedrich Chill Cp06G10B Window Conditioner.

Pros
  • Control Panel is hidden
  • Comes with a window fitting kit
  • Features dehumidification mode
Cons
  • A bit pricey

Performance

This versatile Friedrich air conditioner is not as powerful as the hOmelabs 14,000 BTU portable air conditioner, but it comes with up to 4 different modes of operation where we have Fan, Cool, Money saver and Dehumidify. The one that stands out among the three is probably the money saver mode, but it’s more like an energy saver mode since all it does is cut the fan off when the compressor is not running. Aside from that, the window air conditioner also dehumidifies at a rate of 1.8 pints per hour, and all this is done at a very quiet pace making it great for the bedroom. If you need a unit that is more portable and fit for an individual, consider purchasing the Forty4 Small Oscillating Tower Fan.

Design

One nice thing about the Friedrich window unit in how it was designed is the fact that its control panel is hidden. This means it maintains a streamlined look, and like the SereneLife 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner, it also comes with a remote control which you can use to control it from your bed or couch. Otherwise, the conditioner weighs about 60 pounds, and also comes with a timer that you can use to program when it switches on and off. Also included is an air conditioner kit, which has everything you might need to get the conditioner installed. Value

The biggest plus you’ll get in buying this Friedrich AC unit is probably the fact that you’re going to be dealing with an energy-efficient conditioner, which guarantees a low level of power consumption. Its energy-efficient rating is 12.2, which is well above the industry recommended standard of 10. The warranty that comes with it is also as all-inclusive as that of the Frigidaire FFRA0511R1E 5,000 BTU, as it covers a 1-year labor, and an additional 4 years on the sealed refrigeration system. You can find a similar perk with the Frigidaire 5000 BTU air conditioner
