The BenQ TK800 is the best 3D projector on the current market, is the fourth-best projector for bright rooms, and is also one of the best ceiling-mounted projectors. The high placement in the rankings is well earned, as the BenQ TK800 delivers extremely high-quality performance with only a bit of fan noise to cool the hard-working interior.

The BenQ TK800 offers incredible resolution and color accuracy, with HDR and 3D compatibility for the ultimate home cinema experience. High brightness and unerring color quality make exceptional picture quality at all times of day, as well as a variety of adjustability features and settings.

Performance/Resolution

Even among other DLP projectors, including the BenQ TK800M projector, the BenQ TK800 delivers stunning image quality in native 4K resolution with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, enhanced with its RGBW color wheel and HDR compatibility for brilliant color from the single-chip DLP projector. With 8.4 million pixels across a big screen, the resolution of the BenQ TK800 is second to none. Compatibility with 3D media means you can view your favorite 3D movies with exceptional quality, and a quality built-in speaker delivers quality sound for your home entertainment experience without the need for external speakers. You can also consider the Anker Nebula Mars II  which although smaller in size has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 10W speakers.

Brightness/Lumens

The BenQ TK800 boasts an impressive maximum brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, even more than the BenQ HT2550, cutting through ambient light with ease. A high contrast ratio and excellent color gamut mean your images won’t be compromised by a high brightness even in brightly-lit rooms, giving bright colors and deep black levels at all hours of the day. The high light output ensures that even with plenty of ambient light, the picture displayed is bright enough for all your viewing needs. Only the Epson Home Cinema 3700 and the Optoma HD142X offer comparable lumens, though neither possess 4K resolution. Yet, the LG HU80KA 4K UHD offers 4K and a lumens of 2500.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

The BenQ TK800 offers a wide range of adjustability features for an easy initial setup and viewing convenience. The DLP chip lens has a 1.2x zoom feature, as well as vertical keystone correction for flexible placement options. The home theater projector has a throw ratio of 1.47-1.76, producing a maximum screen size of 100” at approximately 10.7’. The projector also comes with various modes for optimal viewing depending on the media, including a Vivid TV mode, Cinema mode, and even a Football mode for sports fans, among others.

Durability

While it makes an exceptional permanent addition to your living room, the BenQ TK800 has a lightweight and compact design to promote portability; though with a size of 13.9×10.7×5.3”, it is too big for most carrying cases. The projector has an impressive lamp life, averaging 4,000 hours with normal mode, increased up to 10,000 hours in Eco mode, comparable to the Epson Home Cinema 2040. The product also ships with the standard BenQ warranty. For another BenQ option, you’ll want to check out our BenQ TH671ST review.

Value

While the price tag of the BenQ TK800 is fairly standard for a 4K projector, the level of performance it offers is anything but. Incredible resolution with HDR and 3D compatibility, with the ability to display in even bright rooms, combined with a slew of adjustability features make for an incredible projector that is well worth its cost. Standing tall among even higher-class 4K projectors, the BenQ TK800 is an undeniably excellent value, and easy to sing the praises of in this projector review.

BenQ TK800 4K Wrap Up

The BenQ TK800 displays amazing images in all but the brightest conditions, and a variety of adjustability features makes installation a breeze. If you’re looking for an exceptional 4K projector able to deliver quality 3D images, the BenQ TK800 promises to be an incredible addition to your living room and will be the envy of any guests who experience its awesome performance.
