The XYZprinting da Vinci Nano 3D pPrinter is a fantastic and affordable introduction into the world of 3D Printing. If you’ve ever been curious, or just want to begin learning, the da Vinci Nano’s straightforwardness and incredibly affordable price can entice anyone to at least try and give it a whirl.

Performance
The XYZ da Vinci is a quiet printer, which is nice, with the only audible noise being the whining and whirring of fans, motors, and the print head moving. You will need to have your Nano connected to your computer to have it print, but it can be disconnected once it begins printing. The print quality is clean and smooth with well-made edges, but it does take a long time to print. This is especially true with the higher-quality settings. If price is no option and you want to produce extremely high quality prints, try the Zortrax M200 3D Printer.
Design
The XYZ da Vinci Nano comes with built-in safety and convenience features such as auto-calibration, auto-feeding filament system, and a removable print bed. The PLA filament features a chip that identifies it to the printer and the Nano only works with XYZ-provided filaments. The filaments, though, come in 14 colours, so printing in full colour shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. It’s simple and straightforward and will take you less than 30 minutes from unboxing to first print. Value
The XYZ da Vinci Nano can only be used with filaments from XYZ, mentioned above, and these filaments cost about $28.00 each. Not terribly expensive, but it’s still a little bit higher than third-party filaments. The unit itself retails for about $170 which is a fantastic price considering all the features you’re getting. The modelling software included with the Nano is interesting and includes basic modeling tools to add text to existing models. You get a lot of printer for the da Vinci Nano’s $170.00 price tag. It’s software is simple and offers some unique features, and the PLA filaments come in a wide variety of colours.
