While looking for the best business projector, many get discouraged after looking at the above $1000 price tags of costly high-end projectors. But if getting the best picture quality is not your end goal, cheaper projectors can also work very well for business presentation purposes.

The Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector works very well, even in a brightly lit room. And at the same time, it doesn’t break the bank, unlike the BenQ MH760 1080P Business Projector.

Why We Like It – Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector Lights On Viewing

The Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector Lights On Viewing, as the name suggests, is a bright SVGA projector that comes with a 3800 lumens lamp (4:3 aspect ratio). Even though it’s not an HD projector, it comes with an HDMI 1.4a port for better compatibility with modern devices. And it can support higher resolution signal input too and can downscale them to match the resolution.

Performance/Resolution

Well, as expected, the resolution on this Optoma projector is not that great; it’s not even HD. But it does take HD signal (both 1080p and 1080i) just fine through the single HDMI 1.4a port. And it even supports 3D blu ray players. If the SVGA resolution is just too blurry for you, and if you need something with a slightly clearer picture, the Epson EX7240 would be a good pickup (1280×800 p). If you are not on a tight budget and need a projector that has 5000 ANSI Lumens brightness, Crestron, AMX, PJ-Link for network control via LAN, and two HDMI ports, try the BenQ MH760 1080P Business.

Brightness/Lumens

The Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector comes with a 3800 lumens lamp. It’s perfectly fine and gets the job done even in a well-lit room. But the fan noise in this model is pretty bad. If you can work with a bit lower lumens count, go for the Epson VS250 SVGA 3LCD.

Adjustability/Viewing Angle

In terms of throw distance and throw ratio, pretty much every aspect of this projector is manually adjustable. Although it can be considered a long throw projector, and not quite an Optoma short throw projector. It only has a 1.1x zoom lens with a slider controller, which is a bit of a bummer.

But, very surprisingly, it features a 1.94 – 2.15:1 throw ratio and vertical keystone correction that enables this projector to be installed basically anywhere. Vertical keystone correction is not something we often see at this price.

Durability

Unlike the BIGASUO projector, the 3800 lumens lamp in this Optoma projector is rated for 15000 hours of lifespan. That is actually fairly decent. And the projector unit itself is portable and durable, unlike a pinhole projector for a solar eclipse which is primarily home built. With moderate usage, the lamp should last for a few years before giving up. Plus, regular maintenance and care for the projector connection cables will help it last even longer.

Value

After looking at everything, some might expect this projector to be of great value money-wise. But sadly, that is not the case. You can get better resolution projectors with higher lumens count at cheaper prices from other manufacturers. Those projectors may not be as small as the Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector, but they do come with a lot more features to boot. And the absence of a remote control at this price really hurts this projector badly.

Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector Lights On Viewing Wrap Up

With a name like “Optoma S334e SVGA Bright Professional Projector Lights On Viewing with 3,800 Lumens Latest DLP Technology Business Presentations Classrooms or Home 15,000 hour lamp life Speaker Built-In Portable Size,” our expectations were high from this projector. It does deliver on most fronts, but it simply isn’t good enough for its price compared to the competitor’s offerings.
