In this day and age, vehicle battery chargers have grown beyond clamps; some batteries have a plug for charging. For those with multiple vehicles, each with a different battery, you’ll want the best battery chargers to maintain a diverse cast. We present to you the NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer.

Why We Like It – NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer

With loads of accessories to attach, this switch mode battery charger can be more than a set of clamps, in addition to zero overcharge and a 5-year warranty. For versatility, this is your stop.

Performance

The NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer can be so accommodating to what you own—and not just on vehicles either. It can pump 1.1 amperage into 6-volt and 12-volt batteries, and that includes wet, gel, and AGM. What’s more impressive than its amps are the safety technologies being used inside. It’s spark-proof, protects both parties from reverse polarity, and more importantly, comes with zero overcharge. You won’t be juicing your car battery with more than it can handle.

Design

The NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer is more than meets the eye. With it being fully automatic, all you have to do is plug the right attachments to big or small battery applications and you’re good to go. Notice I said “attachments.” The NOCO G1100 is, after all, a versatile battery charger. With additional accessories, you can get your hands on a 12V Male Plug GC003 and more. On a side note: the clamps are rather small. They could’ve been enlarged slightly for better gripping, much like the Ampeak Battery Charger Maintainer Automatic.

Value

Considering the performance of the NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer, and its relatively small size, is the $110 justified? After all, it is the most expensive compared to others, though not far off from a Schumacher SC1281 Automatic Battery Charger. For starters, you get a 5-year warranty. That’s a long enough timespan for something to happen to your battery. Lastly, there’s a higher upfront cost because of additional accessories. This battery can use more than clamps; its charge process can switch depending on which one you use. However, this only applies to someone with multiple vehicles; otherwise you’re better off with a DieHard 71219 Battery Charger Maintainer or similar.

NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer Wrap Up

The NOCO Genius G1100 Battery Maintainer can do a lot—but its price is only justified if you’ve got enough devices that will benefit. Not to mention you’ll have to purchase additional accessories. In return you get oodles of safety technology, like zero overcharge, and 5-year warranty. That sounds like a good deal to me.
