Performance

The ice maker on the Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator can release both crushed and cubed ice. Not only that, the ice maker sits inside the left-door itself and doesn’t extend into the refrigerator compartment. This is always a good sign of a quality refrigerator. The fridge also has adjustable shelves which is great for storing large or awkwardly shaped containers or tall pitchers. If you’re looking for a refrigerator that is constantly striving for innovation that other refrigerator brands look to for inspiration, consider a Samsung Refrigerator.

Design

The Kenmore Elite is, overall, one of the largest french door refrigerators available. It has an overall capacity of 29.6 cubic feet which includes 19.5 cubic feet in the refrigerator proper and 10.1 cubic feet of space in the freezer. LG makes some comparable-sized refrigerators that may be slightly smaller so consider them if you want something spacious but space-saving. Unfortunately, The Kenmore Elite only comes in one design, and that design is stainless steel. Design wise it looks nice, but stainless steel does have the tendency to show streaks and marks and insists that it can only be cleaned with stainless steel cleaner so be aware of this when considering a Kenmore Elite.

Value

One of the great things about Kenmore is their robust customer service capabilities. It features 5 different numbers you can call depending on your issue or need. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer live-chat, which seems like a big oversight. It is Energy Star Compliant, and it’s estimated to cost about $90.00 per year to run. This is a slight increase compared to some older fridges, but given its staggering capacity this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. A KitchenAid refrigerator would be a viable alternative if you’re looking to save a little money.

Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator Wrap Up

The Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator may cost a little more to run per year but it is still Energy Star Compliant. It could have cost a lot more, but it doesn’t. We would love to see it available in something other than stainless steel, though. Variety is the spice of life, isn’t it?
