If you’re scouring the web for the best AUX cable for your smartphone, the iXCC 3-ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm offers an acceptable budget option. Not only does its dual-shielding reduce EMIs, its more important feature is the step-down design. This allows you to reach the audio port, without removing your device’s casing. Why We Like It – iXCC 3-Ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm

The iXCC 3-ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm feature dual-shielding to reduce EMIs, with a step-down design that’s great for connecting to smart devices protected by cases.

Pros
  • Corrosion-resistant, gold plated connectors
  • Step-down design; can connect even through cases
  • Dual-shielding reduces EMIs (hissing, static, hums)
Cons
  • Chrome casing can come loose
  • Below average sound quality

Performance

The iXCC 3-ft Tangle Free Male Aux Cable does a good job blocking out those annoying hisses and humming that plague cheap aux cables. This is due to the gold-plated, polished metal connectors that have a dual-shielding incorporated on the inside. What you get in return is a reduction in EMIs (background noise) and signal loss. The sound quality will consistently be clean—but it isn’t the greatest in terms of quality. Audio quality may be clean, but it isn’t high quality sound that you’d get from the iVanky Auxiliary Compatible Headphone Speaker.

Design

The overall durability could use some work, too. The sleeve is certainly flexible and it uses a tangle free design, but its chrome casing can come loose. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that the gold plated connectors are corrosion-resistant. Furthermore, the connectors use a step-down design that allows the iXCC 3-ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm to reach audio ports even when there’s a case in the way. This makes the auxiliary cable easy to plug into Apple Android smartphones tablets. There’s better durability from the Oldboytech Auxiliary Braided Compatible Headphones.

Value

The 3-ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm Home Car Stereo Audio AUX Cable iXCC offers its services for a small asking price of $6, which is fair. That’s $2 per foot of cable. However, the 10 foot option is priced at $10, which is arguably better priced considering it would be $1 per foot of cable. If you’re less concerned about audio quality, and just want an EMI-free experience with your Android or Apple devices, they’re worth considering. A more reliable choice would be the Anker Premium Auxiliary Headphones iPhones.

iXCC 3-Ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm Wrap Up

Despite the iXCC 3-ft Tangle-Free Male to Male 3.5mm’s lackluster audio quality, preventing EMIs is worth losing a bit of audio fidelity. More importantly, its step-down design gets you access to smartphones through cases, and they aren’t exactly the best in producing good sound quality anyways. Its gold connectors and dual-shielding still provide a clean, albeit below average sound quality.
