For a hands-off experience, the iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum is the best vacuum for allergies, due to its dual-action cleaning. It works on both hard flooring and carpets, picking up debris and pet hair along the way. And since they’re WiFi-connected robot vacuum cleaners, you hardly have to maintain it. Why We Like It – iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum

The iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum is the best robot vacuum for those who want a hands off approach to vacuuming, never lifting a finger due to scheduling and automatic dist disposal.

Pros
  • Fair dustbin capacity, relative to its size
  • 2-hour battery life
  • Automatic dirt disposal
Cons
  • Expensive

Power, Speed & Efficiency

For a small robotic vacuum cleaner, the iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum packs quite the suction power, peaking at 900Pa. The 960 Robotic Vacuums take advantage of that suction power by combining it with an edge-sweeping brush and rubber brushes to lift hair from the sides of your walls, hard flooring, and carpeting. It’s incredibly efficient, though not very speedy. It will never match the speed of a Miele Complete C3 Marin, but at least you’ll never have to touch a broom or vacuum again.

Bin Capacity

Having a 600ml dustbin capacity is laughable when compared to a Kenmore Elite vacuum, but remember: this is a small vacuum that works on its own. You can even schedule cleaning via iRobot Home app. More importantly, it has automatic dirt disposal, just like the iRobot Roomba i7, so you never have to empty it yourself until its station becomes full.

Maintenance & Durability

If you’re big into smart home technology—like home security, app scheduling, and so on—you’ll be happy to hear the iRobot Home app can do that for you. At the same time, you can use it to troubleshoot maintenance, increasing its durability. You don’t get that with the Miele Dynamic U1.

Value

What might prevent you from picking up an iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum is its price. Spending $429 on a small, robotic vacuum cleaner sounds steep—and it is—but you must remember that this little robotic guy takes care of the cleaning for you. With scheduling and its self-sufficient design, all you have to do is occasionally clean out its charging base. Even better, you should consider its M6 Mop and Roomba 960 bundle, which includes the sweeping Roomba and mopping Roomba. Say goodbye to cleaning, forever!

iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum Wrap Up

Don’t let the price of the iRobot Roomba 960 Robot Vacuum scare you away. In this day and age, any way you can gain back time for your family or yourself, no price is too much. It works for up to 2 hours, and you never have to empty it—it empties itself!
